Your perception may not be justified ... note high voting percentage in elections despite boycott calls from separatists. Just because there is a mob throwing stones it does not necessarily represent the majority.

Furthermore, while saying anything, one should always be careful that no injustice is done to any exceptions. For example, would you make some unflattering generalization about Muslims in the presence of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam?

This does not mean that one should never generalize ... only that any generalization must be carefully worded so that no injustice is done. Now take another look at the particular paragraph that I objected to.
