Afghan govt to review controversial NDS-ISI deal

MOU is already signed, what r they going to review?? These statements r symbolic..
MOU stand for Memorandum of Understanding, its not pact
How much MOU you sign for investment & how much you get on ground ?

Oh i really appreciate for clarifying what does MOU stands for :coffee:.... Memorandum Of Understanding is always signed when majority of the points are mutually agreed upon, leaving room open for minor adjustments, don't expect the whole documents to be rewritten....

I can point out 1000 MoUs even in Indian context which never fruitified as it is not binding agreement.
You are saying that they have sign the MoU so nothing can happen is plain wrong.
If you covert it in pact then it would be binding.

Nah,,, not that...
It is not necessary that everyone here is so obsessed :P
I am really enjoying the whole saga, it is reminds me how Su-30 used to be the best plane in the world, then the Euro Fighter was supposed to be some alien technology and quickly it was REALIZED that no it is the Rafale,,, tick tock time passed and with the deal going no where it was RESEARCHED again that Su30 was the best and boom 36 planes signed and the Rafale beats everyone hands down!!! AGAIN

ooo nooo that do not means we have to reply to every stupid thing in a serious way,,,,
For me, this news and the reaction is what i have described in the previous posts :)

Damn....when there is a TT like you,who needs a troll..

thread is on Afghan President's remark, all of a sudden, you're discussing Su-30,Eurofighter,Rafale and what not???

something constructive on the topic perhaps would do good,commissar..

Hmm, I'd be interested in how you see the Nash Equilibrium applying to the AfPak theater - I knew an Afghan graduate student at my old Alma Mater who was trying to apply game theory to the AfPak theater but didn't really follow his work?

Curious do you work in game theory?

I have always thought Af-Pak as almost perfect case for Game theory. Both states tied together, impacting each other in so many ways, not trusting each other at all, trying to score points at expense of other and yet their destiny is tied to each other's decision. If someone really is pursuing this, I am sure he can find a lot of things.

I used to work with someone on this. Had to leave to start earning.

If u have a look at the news reports its ref to almost all ex official who r against this agreement ex president ex Intel head etc... They r were all on the payroll of a 3rd country & under there tensure u saw the increase of terrorism inside Pak... Military Coup??? Afghan Military is nothing without the NATO or Americans back end support...coup will further mess up already messed up country
a coup will simply be inviting taliban to come over!

Look if they were under the payroll of a third country I'm sure KSA + Pak + China can pay more.

It simply is not a matter of payroll.

Talk to Afghans who have lived in Pakistan - who don't even speak Dari are fluent in Urdu - they hate Pakistan and Pakistanis.

It's a phenomenon hard to understand - often Strategic Depth, Taliban are cited for this - however the depth of Afghan Anger, hatred cannot be explained away by such artifacts.

There is a general endearment for India - and it has existed before the 2 billion India poured in to Afghanistan. Don't believe me - talk to Afghans - something which I do all the time

why do they hate pakistan.
1. they think that we brought the soviet, not their own liberal people who use to teach communism in their schools
2. they think we should have left them to be slaughtered by the USSR
3. they think the all the people who fought afg civil war are infact Pakistanis not afghans including general dostum
4. they think pakistan shouldnt have existed only Afghanistan and india and we are kind of bottle neck for them and india
5. they think they own pakistani pushtoons and KPK which is kind odd as i am pushtoon myself and to me Afghanistan has less pushtoons than pakistan. kabul has less pushtoons than karachi
6. they think that why are they being pushed out when pakistan belongs to them

in nutshell the relationship has been soar since 1947 way before the USSR. the only reason they hate us is afghans think FATA and KPK belongs to them, remembr bacha khan did gave a proposal tothe british to include this area into Afghanistan. They also think they have a historical connection with india that has been broken by pakistan.

so no matter what we do its unlikely that such deeply biased feelings be over with, it will take decades of MORE BEATINGS by foreign powers till they release their place and whats good for them.

If i have to step down from this title to give the Indian troll a taste of there own medicine i am ready to oblige. there is no need to jump gun, go back, read the posts and you will find for yourself where it all started. You will find out for yourself what the topic was and what was the reply.

oh please, you can keep your whining to yourself..its you who posted off topic rant and not mine..I've posted an article.if TTs like you post off topic rant, then who needs a troll..so far, you've posed 2-3 posts, and none on the topic.

let me show your face in the mirror....

The Indians crying about any improvement of relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan, then rejoicing any and every news that is being reported so to damage the on going process, AND, then saying that India is a peaceful nation, wants peace and harmony in the region and the true best friend of Afghanistan,,,,, Kind of Fun to Watch!! :agree:

I loved it when indian media and members were crying when NDS-ISI signed the MoU, I love it more how they are celebrating that this MoU have not been confirmed yet...

now tell me,is there anything on India or Indians in that article??or did I post any expression of rejoicing??and is India behind Taliban which is biggest thorn in Afghanistan-Pakistan relationship??

see, being a TT means more responsible post..but no wonder, like the quality of TT,PDF's quality is going to gutter..

ooh no you dont need to show me my face in the mirror, i wont go the hypocritical way of denying that i was not trolling, i admitted it in above post. However, my sin was only to reply a troll with a troll post (that is totally unacceptable and wrong i agree, but sometimes one do get fed up with continuous rants)

regarding the opening post, and the others, if u can see, I will say again that it is fun seeing Indian members crying about the agreement first then at the slightest hint that this may not go through, the celebration . So much obsession is not good for a country that claims to be a global power. I stand by my initial stance. Do not feel any need to explain all this to you but if you have any thing constructive to share on TOPIC feel free and we can debate on that.

This is your first quote which give impression that they sign binding agreement.
MOU is always signed when all points r agreed upon between 2 parties, if they did not agree they would have not signed the MOU, my statement was with ref to that, i pretty much know that MOUs are not binding agreements & their is always room for amendment ...

When MoU is not agreement then no point of amendment until you convert it to agreement.

The whole fuss here is about MOU being signed...... ur explanation on all this MOU - Agreement thing is for that audience who are crying since the news broke out of an MOU being signed..... PERIOD :coffee:
