Afghan govt to review controversial NDS-ISI deal

If u have a look at the news reports its ref to almost all ex official who r against this agreement ex president ex Intel head etc... They r were all on the payroll of a 3rd country & under there tensure u saw the increase of terrorism inside Pak... Military Coup??? Afghan Military is nothing without the NATO or Americans back end support...coup will further mess up already messed up country

Look if they were under the payroll of a third country I'm sure KSA + Pak + China can pay more.

It simply is not a matter of payroll.

Talk to Afghans who have lived in Pakistan - who don't even speak Dari are fluent in Urdu - they hate Pakistan and Pakistanis.

It's a phenomenon hard to understand - often Strategic Depth, Taliban are cited for this - however the depth of Afghan Anger, hatred cannot be explained away by such artifacts.

There is a general endearment for India - and it has existed before the 2 billion India poured in to Afghanistan. Don't believe me - talk to Afghans - something which I do all the time

This is all for Indian peace desire in Asia.....
Pakistan has successfully cleaned most of it's troubled areas and has started exposing Indian involvement in inciting unrest in Baluchistan and fata setting stage for future spanking of mode and co in international forums and Indian politicians are supporting Pak words with their statements of sponsoring terrorism in Pak.
Now I will praise ISI for adopting a policy towards Afghanistan which will clearly differentiate b/w who is on Pakistan side and who is against Pakistan . Indian A$$es on this forum are burning since the day this news broke reflecting how wet the pants of modi & co must be so Indians will try their best to sabotage it and keep brainwashing afghan youth against Pakistan but they seem blind to the fact it's Pakistan here who is in commanding position here even before signing the agreement NDS and Ghani knew it will cause serious heartburn in India but to counter Taliban and ensure lasting peace they need Pakistan so all this shouldn't go beyond lip service but if it does ISI knows what to do and I expect them to be really blunt and lethal this time as our enemy is making her intent of isolating Pakistan politically, economically and strategically at all levels so we shouldn't exercise any restraint now as well.
China is willing to invest heavily in Afghanistan we should try to facilitate that as a compensation for missing Indian lethal dollars in future. An investment friendly Afghanistan free of Taliban is in interest of Ghana and all patriotic afghans and only Pakistan can help achieve that Indians only want chaos in this region as It suits them to keep Pak engaged on its western border .

Post American withdrawal , Afghans have two choices

a) they can stay neutral and develop their country with help of China , keep Pakistan india out of the loop
b) get in bed with india to antagonize Pakistan , which will result in Pakistan doing countermeasures against both india and Afghanistan

Just like you guys do! After all South Asian habits are the same!! :D Both dance and prance with joyous rapture at the others discomfiture!! Yeah! It really is fun!

Cheers!
It is so true!!
I always say, both of always is trying to harm the other, simple!! not right not good but still true! however that do not means you can stop enjoying it. It really was fun how the Indian media and the members reacted when the report of some agreement came in, the cries of anguish and stuff, now at slightest hint of delay it is merry Christmas again

you know there is something in these posts...

I say butthurt,what say you??? :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Nah,,, not that...
It is not necessary that everyone here is so obsessed :P
I am really enjoying the whole saga, it is reminds me how Su-30 used to be the best plane in the world, then the Euro Fighter was supposed to be some alien technology and quickly it was REALIZED that no it is the Rafale,,, tick tock time passed and with the deal going no where it was RESEARCHED again that Su30 was the best and boom 36 planes signed and the Rafale beats everyone hands down!!! AGAIN

a TT and an Admin,is that what all you've to offer??I was thinking you guys are making PDF a better place??
ooo nooo that do not means we have to reply to every stupid thing in a serious way,,,,
For me, this news and the reaction is what i have described in the previous posts :)

Well if they hate Pakistan & Pakistani's, then they should Pack their Bags & Leave, why are they still living in this Afghans most hated place??? and if ur trying to convenience me that Karzai & Co where not on the payroll or were not rewarded for the services they offered to 3rd country than you wont succeed... KSA washed their hands once Russian left and they got nothing to do with Afghans anymore...China will look after their own strategic assets 1st and will not bother much about others and what makes u so sure that China was not offering perks to Karzai & Co????? i agree with you that the dozen consulates where their to arrange beach parties & desert safaris etc....

Again the point it - if it was simply a matter of money - I'm sure Pakistan can outbid other people - the simple fact is that it is not about money (though it's no secret the some of the named luminaries are on foreign payrolls) - it's about hatred for Pakistan.

If your leader or the one you follow throw insults and talk hate against someone you are bound to do the same.. buy a leader & you'll get his followers against you and if the leader happens to be head of state of a certain dept.. well their you go mission accomplished .....

Afghans will be back to their normal selves , spewing hate against Pakistan , the moment the next super power puts a boot up their back side , which will maybe in 40 years time ,give or take a few, then suddenly their 50 million billion year history will be back on agenda , as before they will co-operate with the super power to unsettle Pakistan , fail in the end and go back to licking their wounds and harbouring more hate against Pak, the same cycle will keep on repeating , all the while Pakistanis will keep on forgiving and forgetting

Right now those who threw booze and poker parties for NATO/US diplomats and military are in trouble and are uncomfortably seeking rapprochement with Pakistan , the drug mansions are going empty , afghan coffers are being emptied by the same thieves who not so long ago were barking from all ends against Pakistan

ISI should have done this agreement covertly

it's about hatred for Pakistan.
Its not hatred. Diplomacy isn't run on emotions (except by Pakistanis). Karzai and company know the source of all evil (Taliban) as does Ghani. They know they cannot bring down Pakistan to the table by fighting a war of attrition (NDS-TTP vs ISI-Taliban), but so far that is their best hand. Ghani is trying to get off this slippery slope and is trying to get Pakistan to make some compromise - what he got, I don't understand, but he is sloooowly giving away Afghanistan's only card. Taliban will likely loose if Pakistan starts opposing them.........................Pakistan knows this too. Why then would it give up its trump card and settle midway instead of simply doing what it is doing right now and enjoying the full fruit later? Even so, I believe Ghani is trying his best to play the cards he was dealt with, coz appeasing Pakistan, if it works would be worth it.

India is not irked or worried about this deal.

It is natural for neighbouring countries to co operate in various fields. India only expressed its concerns.

Yes all introductory textbooks on International Relations say so.

A lot of more advanced work on International Relations and statesmanship says otherwise.

Pakistanis are not really outside the human fold - no matter how much you may like to think so.

Well, Inter-personal relationship between leaders does influence international relations massively. I don't doubt that. Ghani vs Karzai is itself a prime example of that. This is more of a temporary phenomena though. In the long run, a country will run on the basis of its national interests.

Ghani invested a lot of his political capital on this MOU. He practically pulled out a coup. If NDS-ISI combine really start to work to neutralize Taliban threat to both the states, it will be a win-win situation. However As Nash Equilibrium ( RIP Mr. Nash ) tells us, that's unlikely to happen. Deep hatred among Afghans in general and NDS in particular towards Taliban has capacity to derail MOU and both parties will try to score points.

As for other countries like India, Iran, China ... We all will have to see how MOU plays out.

Hmm, I'd be interested in how you see the Nash Equilibrium applying to the AfPak theater - I knew an Afghan graduate student at my old Alma Mater who was trying to apply game theory to the AfPak theater but didn't really follow his work?

Curious do you work in game theory?
