MSB has placed an order with Aselsan for $26.5mil for a total of 25 MAR-D radars. Aselsan MAR-D willl replace MW-08 radar on Kılıç -I/II FAC and DA-08 radar on Yavuz Class Frigate.
Actually not the DA-08 (they're in the same league with the Smart-S) but, AWS-6 Dolphin Radars. Dolphins act as the search radar of Sea Guard CIWS system on board the Meko-TNs. This upgrade, probably, will lead to CIWS upgrade of the Second batch of Mekos, from Sea Guard to Korkut-D.
