Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's role in the Independence of Bangladesh is not mentioned in the history books that are used in middle schools here in the US......My cousin goes to one and said the teacher even didn't know who Sheikh Mujib was.The US already favors BNP.

Why would American schools teach about Bangladesh or any other history of the region for that matter?

They have to learn about the world and important parts of it.South Asian culture and history are taught.Though it should comprise of all the seven or eight countries the syllabus deals with the three countries and their history and present situation.And the only country with a good image is Nepal.Indo-Pak-Bangla are not shown in a positive light!

U hit the nucleus of the issue and it was so ironic that the myth of intellectual killing by Jamaatis wasn't judicially proof like 30 million Bengali's death but by repeating this lie for over 40 yrs. they were already being made the culprits. Then only JI leader Mujahid had the gut to ask for
judicial investigation of that matter but none of the lefties or commies or RAWAMYS. From my nearest relatives, I heard that the RAW trained Mujib Bahini killed them to thwart their plan on unifying both Bengals. At first RAW used them to almost break PAK up then killed them by Mujib Bahinies after double crossing them. But blame was skillfully shifted toward Jamaaties.

The awami did a mistake on mistreatment on Md.Younous though. He was a good and a able guy.
And regarding war crime trials, it was bnp who aligned with war criminals.
Giving constitutional powers to election commission will remove the need of caretaker govt. considering politically charged environment in BD, caretaker is not a bad choice afterall

Unfortunately that wouldn't work for Bangladesh. Except the one in power at the time political parties have always been unanimous about caretaker government.

There is no problem to look forward. And discussing organized discussion over current affairs which can be helpful.
I never see an unbiased discussion over jamat/AL. It reminds me most of the people here are not in favor of BD.
Jamat has to pay. Then they can move to mainstream politics. I were most happy if some pak army personnel and bihary could be detained.
Then we can hope for a true democracy where u will always feel like there is judgement.

I denied it and asked for the proof. But none of the dalals stepped up to show gut as of yet. BTW, did you even know the wordily meaning of genocide? Since U were claiming that PAK army and Bihari committed genocides then any sane one knew the meaning of genocide would laugh at U, I guess. I lost 2 of my finest relatives (Dada and Chacha) to a Hindu-criminal cum Mukti-terrorist and then another close one became blind (Dadi) by crying before perishing away. The irony was that no one knew the exact reason why they were blind folded and thrown at river by that Hindu. It seemed like this kind of incident fell in genocidal claim to U otherwise why did U say genocides (Plural)?

So all the graves of innocent people all around the country during the war they are false.
Killing of think tank bright people they are false. Just accept the truth and look forward.

Pakistan is a good example of what US does in the name of friendship. They are just as ruthless as Russia but they got the media in their hands. I agree with you, only one eyed people will compare India with US.
