He is not that successful he started with loads of money not much of a success

r&d tax credit is very common. But that's not what you're advocating. Instead of direct r&d tax credit you are advocating not taxing parts of wealth and you are HOPING that beneficiaries will use that for R&D !!

Instead just provide direct tax credit for r&d . Simple.

I’m not hoping it will happen Zakat system is supreme when intangible assets do not have Zakat payable on them. R&D will flourish in Pakistan leading to big companies etc. breakthroughs.

The best zakat is birth control and colorie limitation for Pakistan.

The concept of Zakat is a part of Islam because Islam promotes an environment where people don't become slaves if they don't accumulate money.
Zakat is all about money flow from too much money to too less money, the very essence of humanity.

Indians here don't get that concept, as Hinduism doesn't have such concepts. That's the reason why in ancient times India was rich, because people accumulated money, they always did. That's the reason why poverty in India is unmatched with any other society, beside the fact that India is a rich country. And that's the reason why poverty in Pakistan is not that hurting even if Pakistan is a poor country.

And Indians here should keep their opinions with them.

Because R&D increases intangible assets. Which no Zakat payments are due upon. So more people will invest in companies with good R&D. Zakat is second pillar of Islam, Inshallah it will work.

"Islamic golden age" is a buzz word and most people can't even conceptualise what it means in today's context.

And it's not going to happen in Pakistan because most people are 1. Low IQ and reactionary 2. Pakistani politics doesn't allow true Islamic influence which feeds onto #1.

If you want an Islamic golden age then a proper viable political system needs to be created around Islam that is able to function in the modern world.

Muslims coined the term "Zakat + Jizya + Kharj + ushr = Tax" collection of which is best understood as just "Taxes"

Zakat focuses on

• Help needy people in your neighborhood ,
• Help needy people in your family
• Help needy people in your inner circle

Kharaj/Ushr = Land Tax / Income tax

Jizya = Permanent Resident Tax (Modern example Green Card / Work permit / Iqama)

Taxes , term coined in Western world does same

• Keep Government offices running with salaries paid from taxes
• Development programs to help citizen
• Help needy and poor
• Special help for unemployed

If you want to be more technical the "Social Development Program" in Western world are what Zakat is however a Government decide the % allocated towards the Programs to help needy and poor

The Zakat Pakistan get a Poor country from Asian Bank or World bank falls under same principle. Rich countries giving Zakat to Pakistan sometimes for helping poor

The way I described Zakat without payments on intangible assets as they are not wealth is what needs to happen for Pakistan to flourish, your talking giving cash away I’m talking the way it’s collected will lead to a knowledge economy.

Zakat is not voluntary it should be collected by the government

Intangible assets

• As you claimed intangible assets (in your example knowledge ) or intellectual knowledge is not Zakat (Yes it is true)
• Voluntarily spreading your good idea is also not worth much from income preceptive.

However, in business

• Patents/ Intellectual Property
• Copyright is worth money to business.

However, no zakat is due on Idea as it has no monetary value. (No Taxes are due)

Of course, when a Man buys a Copyright or Patent for which increases their personal Income.


There is no culture of Patent and Intellectual property in Pakistan. As there is no R&D

• We don't invent Medicine
• We don't invent surgical process and procedures
• We don't invent any new dental pocedures
• We don't invent any niche Technology
• We don't invest any Telecom tech like Quantam Computing
• We don't have any IT company like Microsoft of IBM

If you invented Medicine for Covid, you would have Copyright over that invention and this would be your exclusive right to profit from the research , when you will make income from this idea that that income will come under the Taxation system (Zakat etc)
Taxation System (Or Zakat , a subset) will not cure Pakistan's Problem
