I still do not understand the reason or purpose of his visit to the Kingdom since he must have known how KSA deals with those who criticize the rulers of S.A. My intuition is he was pushed out by Army under pressure from KSA.

He though Allah will help him and angels will come from sky to save him, as it happened in Ghazwa badr as thousands of angels descended from Heaven at Badr to terrify the Quraish and this battle is also mentioned in Quran.
