Keep the pilot safe is the first important thing when driving ur armed helicopter on battlefield, even face-to-face to fight with enemy's 12.7mm AAGs.


Maybe pilot in 2nd cockpit, 1st cockpit is the weapon operator ... whatever lost ur crew the copter down !

If the armour thickness is almost 1/3 of helicopter height, its a very flawed design. Atak has a better design.

Shouldnt we go with the z-10 upgraded with turkish avionics and armaments. That should make tit the best of both choppers.

How is it current need of PA filled with Wz10 and for near future with more advance technology and imprved variant of T129 joint venture and assembly line to be setup in Pakistan by the help of brother country is it possible?

Well still the waiting game is being played. 18 AH-1Z are coming from USA for now. Though there is room for 2 more types of Attack Helicopters.

WZ-10 and an other Chinese one probably would come because it is going to be easier to manufacture as they would be made one the same production line.

We love the T-129 ATAK but till the engine issue is not solved is is not going to enter Pakistani colours.

The best option still is the ATAK but one can go with the Z-10 and the lighter Z-19. We are already operating the Z-9's so all these can also be manufactured in Pakistan in the longer run.

The 15 vipers haven't been confirmed yet.

They are approved and have gone through the confirmation period...still final delivery dates are not yet given. Hope they will not take too long in delivery. These are required immediately.
