Z-10 Gunship Back With PAA

T-129 and Z-10 will fit in different role so is Mi35.

Z-10 when upgraded will be in the class of Apache while T-129 will be the bulk horse for routine role done currently by cobras, any AH-1Z is a bonus. Mi35 is for air assault.

That makes sense, T-129 would be very economical to operate.

As per reports, these new WZ10 are upgraded versions & all the upgrades were made as per what Pakistan had pointed out. So lets see what happens & how much effective will these new upgraded WZ10 be.

With new engine, Z10 is in the same class with Apach-64. Heavier armour and stronger fire power. It's just a matter of time, let the ball rolling at first.

Looks 60% better then our Vanilla Cobra from 70s
Just missing Machine Gun otherwise was a amazing option

Suprised really they would not add a Triditional Machine gun option

All they had to do was lift up the chopper a bit more from ground to create some room for Machine gun at front

Certainly looks more advance then Cobra for sure

Z-10 still is quite scary if you see it in full configuration

So, any guess what those specific upgrades which were demanded by PA? Z-10 certainly become the mainstay of PAA.

Z-10 is heavier (indicating more armored) which affected its high altitude performance. Likely improved on that.

Z-10 was designed as a anti armor platform and not counter militant/insurgency warfare. China's eagerness to send a improved Z-10 to Pakistan despite things being in favor of T-129 could mean China wants the Z-10 to be put through it's paces in Pakistan. Just as western media claiming Russia having battle tested 200 new systems in Syria.

Wasn't the idea of a stealth attack helicopter abandoned even by the US. I remember they came up with Commanche but that bird never went anywhere. Isn't it prudent to learn from that episode and keep stealth out of helos?
Comanche was cancelled in 2004 as:
1.Soviets/Russian didn't have any comparable helicopter in service. Recon role could be taken up by UAV/drones.
2.It would have eaten a large portion of US Army budget, so it was decided to upgrade AH-64 to LongBow Version III (AB3) which will not be replaced until 2020 and maybe beyond. Then it could be replaced by JMR (Joint Multi-Role Rotorcraft).

Also stealth wasnt abandoned completely, remember the UH-60 Blackhawk Abbotabad crash episode?

The vertical takeoff and landing fighters in China have not been put in before. After 075 service, Z10 was still the main attack weapon.

071 of the recent India ocean exercises also need Z10

.
I would imagine it got hit just once but the warhead detonation and subsequent blast and shrapnel damaged the helicopter heavily including engine which appears a fire broke out.

That is one tough copter..

To be honest, i picked it up on twitter and it was posted by same person who earlier posted claiming first images of Mi-35s in Pakistan.....but i seem to have a certain fan club who never let go an opportunity to be critical and nit picks.
OH COME ON WINDY!!!!!You are not trying to show us your sensitive side are you? You do what you do best mate and dont worry about detractors. Just give credit to people whose piccies you post sometimes though!!!!.

in my inexperienced view why we didn't look at the 3rd option which was south african Denel Rooivalk. they have got the same engine as our puma helicopters .AS the army puma already need up gradation we could have got a very good deal from both south africa and aribus .ON top we could have even got some manufacturing for PUMA helicopters from airbus as they are desperate for new customer to sell the H215 AND H225 .The ARMY could have sorted the heavy helicopters issue as well
