You need to stop reading P-I-S-S TV. FSA are noting like the Taliban. Many of them have Christian and Druze Forces. Also a lot of them are secular. Pakistan and Syria can not be compared in even religious methodology as Syrian Sunnis are not even Hanafi to begin with. FSA is already reconigzed by western countries and Arabian Gulf countries as the only legitimate military in Syria. Why would the US kill Taliban commanders in NWFP and then support such groups in Syria? They are totally different scenarios.
Im not even going to Press TV here..
Moreover, you need to stop fixating on things and understand the reference. My being Hanafi has little to do with being a target by extremist ideology because as long as I disagree with them I am a target. There is no problem if the forces are secular or atheist or believe in Alien life. . When these gentlemen, be it the Taliban or the Druze militia that shouts Allah-O-Akbar whenever it destroys a Syrian tank or brings down a helicopter(
at least that is what EVERY video that sprouts up shows) then these men need to remain Syrian. They cannot be indoctrinated youth brought in from different regions and sent to fight for an ideology. Because when the dust settles and these men find they are no longer welcome in Syria.. they'll head to Somalia , to Pakistan.. and one or two will decide that the greater "Satan" is America and murder people inside an oil compound.
This conflict cannot be based on religious motivation because that will lead to eventual fallout later. It may lead to another Shia-Sunni conflict with Iran.. or implode into Pakistan.. which does have a section of Shia populous(who are already being targeted and will then be financed by Iran for backlash) and so on. The Libyan insurgency remained as such nationalist and went through due to direct intervention. If the same can be done here then so be it.. but by creating these groups and adding religious tones to it.. these men are harming no one other than their own countries and consequently other areas.
The religious methodology being different will have little affect once extreme ideologies take hold. Pakistan had a very different methodology before 75, we had minorities that could go around without worry ALL over the country..what about now?..what makes you think the Syrians will remain consistent in their methods?
Also..
The US has little trouble supporting Saddam for over 10 years and then killing him I believe they have no qualms about killing Taliban there and supporting similar elements there.. it has the Saudi's for that does it not?
To be honest Sir, the Arab Spring has already flung large volumes of excreta on the rotating device with blades on the ceiling. What is another mess on the walls, when the whole area is going to be hosed down anyway?
And we already have enough angry militants of our own, so we probably will not able to absorb anymore for quite some time yet.
Absorption has little to do with I.V..
The Quetta attacks on the Hazara's for e.g had little to do with homegrown motives.
We are a battleground for multiple ideologies anyway.
