Yuan Class coming PN's way?

This appears to be a photo of a New Yuan Submarine. It’s been kind of interesting, because we haven’t seen much of Yuan after the 2nd block (which was about 3 units) were launched pretty close together from late 2007 to early 2008. Anyhow, here is a new Yuan (probably the 5th) that seems to have a little difference from previous Yuans.

The ones below are the photos of the 4th unit of 054A from HuangPu shipyard. I’m actually kind of impressed by how fast this one is progressing, because the 3rd one only got launched a few month ago. In fact, the 3rd one just started its sea trials and the 3rd one from HD shipyard still has a couple of months to go before starting sea trials. The other piece of news with regard to 054A is that the 054A ship that went to patrol pirate is now sailing to Pakistan. I think this could be part of the sales pitch to the Pakistani Navy. Anyhow, where are the pictures:

I think that it is cheap option to complement U-214 SSK and to build up the required numbers for PN

i dont seee we will buying it PN still commited with U 214 but in additional subs this and song would be better option but we must buy U boats and than buy 4 more 2 song and 2 yuan it willl strengthen our submarine fleet to counter any indian agreesion

The shape is part of the design parameters since the submarine has quite complex fluid dynamics to take into account...the shape is not deliberately made ugly nor can the shape be made pretty just for the sake of pleasing the eyes...even at that nearly all submarines are cylindrical in shape so not much in the way of eye candy as opposed to fighter jets...

but there is quietness on this front from a long time. I don't think PN hinted Chinese subs as "reinforcements"

This seems to be the general consensus. PN has a requirement of 12 Subs, which we cant meet from EU. So there may be a plan to develop a hybrid, with key techs of U214 and Agosta90B incorporated into the Chinese design.

doesn't make sense......Why would we want European systems in Chinese body?....If it is altogether a new class joint development with China, then it seems an opportunity to add value to each other.

I hope and pray that this would happen soon, because everyone who follows defense news keenly is desperately waiting to hear this good news. Government should make its lines pretty clear that there should be no compromise on the PN's requirement as PN has already recommended U-214.
In addition to 3 U-214s, if PN has requirement of more submarines then Chinese designed submarines could be considered.

Not ugly but at least they look very much bulky and old in shape
as compare to swedish,french and german subs
