Syed we probably share the same core beliefs - the problem is to make any impact you have to massage the masses. If you don't and you just lecture them you will over time lose any influence. Indeed they will turn against you entirely. They will resist everything you have to say. Therefore raising the question as to why you would want to come to places like PDF. It would be waste of time.

There are plenty of high brow forums where you can discuss rights of man and the deleterious effect of organized religion.

Ah the ideal Wodehouse Society .. or dare I say, Somerset Maugham? Tickles me to recall the Dead Poet's Society too!

Yikes, who would do that to you? I mean, you are generally well balanced hence equally detested for your honest commentary like @Joe Shearer (although you will have to work hard to catch up in that with him) which offends the (in)sensibilities of the masses.

However if anybody wants a study in hate all you need to visit is your typical Indian forum. The hate against Pakistan, right from management, mods to members is unbelievable. In fact the term Pakistan is redundant. The Pak*, Pork* and other variety of even more imaginitave terms are de regeuer. The collective condition is nothing short of psychosis.

And this is in forums that regard themselves as serious bastions intellectual debate like Bharat Rakshak. Therefore whatever shortcomings there are at PDF it is still shoulder and arms above the rest.

I agree with it. That was the reason for my shifting in 2009.

But therein lies the dilemma of posting at PDF. Why would anyone who is well balanced be detested? If someone is detested, it follows they are not well balanced. Or, the definition of said balance is hugely skewed.

I always remember when @Rain Man let him give a big old spiel about communism this and socialism that ....and then asked....so what do you do for a living again?

Thats when I knew I would be a big fan of Rain Man hehe. Soaks up all the butthurt like a sponge, refines and crystalises and concentrates it and effortlessly throws it all back at you in strongest most virulent form hehe.

But jamahir was my tharki-mate. He and I had similar tastes in the female species....everything else was just irrelevant when we exchanged and commented on pics of bodacious lasses.
