This is really sad; one would hope and pray that she recovers soon.
I read somewhere that she had an epileptic fit when she was sitting in front of the screen. This is perhaps not the best time to raise questions but if the child was epileptic then one has to question the wisdom of the parents who let her sit in front of the screen for hours at end
She obviously was spending a lot of time sitting in front of the screen , how else could a 9 year old get around the nascence’s of certifications like MCP.
We Asians tend to become very competitive and we want that our children should get to know things way in advance (yet we are neither the ‘Kings’ nor the ‘King Makers’ but that’s for another time to discuss ) no parent wants suggestions on how to raise their children but I think it’s important to let children have a childhood and that childhood should NOT be based on Microsoft Windows , Word , Outlook etc etc
In case of this girl , one has to wonder how much was she pushed by her parents and once she completed MCP and was showered with praises and accolades how much pressure she was under to keep going on down this path.
In Pakistan we don’t have child protection agencies but if this had happened in any other part of the world where child protection laws are very stringent, such an incident would have warranted state intervention to determine what led to this.
This poor girl , one has to feel sorry for her , a child only knows what his/her parents tell them and if it was the parents that pushed her beyond her limit then such parenting has to be questioned.
May Allah give her recovery … Ameen
