Hanfu is really only small movement online the CCP has crackdown on them as they threaten the "56" ethnic group nationalism for Han ultra-nationalism

You can find han clothing groups all over Chinese social media, they aren't ultranationalist nor was there any crackdown. Some of the media reports are false.

Very curious thing here is the chinese clothing from Manchu Qing era is being frowned upon as non chinese @beijingwalker@2:30

The Manchus were ruled by the Ming Dynasty for over 200 years.

Only later they managed to overthrow their former master and became the master of China themselves.

To be honest, I won't mind to have the Manchu clothing to be represented as China's cultural relics.

Just the hair style is not the taste for the modern people, even the original Han hair style is also not practical for the modern folks to re-adopt it.
