Boy may have artificial eyes soon

Guo Bin, 6, whose eyes were gouged out in an attack by an unknown assailant in Fenxi county, Shanxi province, is expected to have ocular prosthesis, or artificial eyes, implanted in three months, doctors said.

The boy is in stable condition but still doesn't know about his loss of eyesight, said the boy's father, Guo Zhiping.

Donations have been flowing in since reports about the boy hit the headlines late last month, and Guo Zhiping said the amount has reached 800,000 yuan ($130,500).
Guo Bin started rehabilitation therapy on Sunday, a relative said.

The suicide of Guo Bin's aunt on Saturday has sparked public suspicion that she might be the assailant, but Guo Zhiping said it was impossible because the two families are on good terms.

Jia Yading, head of Shanxi Eye Hospital, said the hospital has arranged the best doctors for the boy, and ocular prosthesis will be implanted in three months.

Psychological experts have also been contacted to provide counseling for the boy and his family members.

Meanwhile, Ming Pao Daily News, a Hong Kong newspaper, quoted local oculist Dennis Lam as saying that Guo Bin may regain his eyesight with electronic ocular prosthesis. The doctor added that he will perform an operation on Guo Bin for free.

A vice-president of a school for blind children in Taiyuan, surnamed Li, said that the school would accept Guo Bin and exempt his tuition fees if he wants to attend it.

Local police refused to disclose developments in their investigation.

I think she's probably a psychopath more than an organ trafficker. The police should check for escaped mental patients I guess.

.
What kind of a fiend did this?
It's likely some Chinese person with mental illness, and China laws will protect the mental patient exemption from prosecution.
The f@cking China law protect some groups at particular risk such as intermittent mental patient living in Chinese society, usually news reported they did serious crime like this case.

I hope the police catch this evil woman and gouge her eyes out, cut her tongue, blow out her ear drums, cut off her arms and legs.

That will be alot fairer punishment than just sending her to prison for the rest of her life or sentencing her to death.

Let this woman suffer a painful life in a tiny dark prison cell where she can rot in the cell and when she dies, she can rot in hell.

Exactly this is what our country needs to do to some infiltrators/terrorists who come across the border into our country and murder our people. We also have some living within our country who need this type of punishment.

Even a much milder form of torture and punishment in a solitary cell throughout life can be a deterrent for future offenders both in and outside the country.

Just read the case of captain Saurabh Kalia who was ghastly tortured before being murdered by Pakistani military and their henchmen.

I thought in Chinese news site and forums, the police said organ trafficking was ruled out. THE COURNEAS ARE NOT MISSING! Gees, I hate stupid news reporters that just speculate. Use your brain, how can you just gauge someone's eyes and cut corneas right in the middle of nowhere and expect corneas to be medically transplanted?

The culprit is still missing, and is a woman with dyed hair.

The motivation is really puzzling! This is gonna be interesting to know when the police catches her.

It is the BBC - British and Western propaganda. They put in there on purpose to paint China as a dark place. Can you imaging the news story about shooting in American? Every single article would be an indictment against the fail American social system, but of not, they are treated as isolated incident, where anything to do with China is systemic.

Its the same story everywhere.

The easiest loophole such criminals have is to feign insanity.

The police said the suspect committed suicide. She is the poor boy's auntie. Motive not known
The boy is getting help from an eye clinic in Shenzhen which offers to implement some electronic eyes for his vision
