Turkey is generally very popular among muslims of south asian nations who have traditionally supported the ottoman empire(Pakistani,Indian and Bangladeshi muslims) just the Indian subcontinent alone makes up the largest group of muslims on earth .Turkey has nothing to worry about there is mass hordes of desi people who are friends of Turkey.

We have no enemies. We're loved by all AROUND US. The Arabs have a dislike for us, sure, but rest are fine. Yes, I include Armenia and Greece in that. Not counting the leftists of those nations.

As for China. They offer nothing . Turkey shares culturally with all around something China can never offer. Central Asia too. And of course the Turkic states of Russia. Who does China have as a friend.. except Pakistan?

...Turkey’s military, following the pattern laid down by Kemal (known widely as “Ataturk,” meaning “father of the Turks”), was intended to be the guardian of the new, Europe-oriented nation-state he strove to create.

Although it may sound odd to Western ears that the military was to safeguard civil rights, especially freedom of religion, in this new Turkey, Kemal well understood that modern thinking needed time to take root and replace the Byzantine medievalism that had characterized Ottoman rule for centuries.

Sadly, Erdogan’s religious zeal has proven Kemal right -

- John Bolton, 2016

Bolton has mixed up his crusade mentality with Erdogan's democratic aspirations. Everybody outside his KKK land sees him as a warmongering scoundrel and for a very good reason. Nazi sympathizers have no right to talk about civil rights!
