What's new

YES GHAURI-III EXISTS

Perhaps - however; I am making the case that Pakistan cannot be a free country until it begins to generate and utilize capital surpluses. Pakistan need not be at war with anybody just because Pakistan seeks to pursue her interests -- The US or any other power is not interested in bombing powers who can defend themselves and even inflict devastating counter punches.

Pakistan must be a strong state, that is to say strong rule of law, vibrant open economy, public confidence leading to capital surplus generation, efficient and aggressive tax collection -- these are necessary ingredients of a strong defense posture, to my thinking.

A solid-fueled missile having same range as the possible Ghauri-III,would be a far better option...

That solid-fueled system (based on Shaheen-II) will be faster and consequently more deceiving for an ABM,have very short preparation time for a launch and a greater shelf life...

Therefore Ghauri-III has been wrapped up because Pakistan has required better expertise in the solid-fueled systems...

Pakistan usually test fires long range missiles into arabian sea where pak navy ships monitor it...this was stated in an interview by dr samar mubarikmand.

.
In fact, even with an ICBM, Pakistan had no choice in 2001. The US would have literally bombed us to stone age if we did not comply. Musharraf had no choice.
By saying this looks like that ..u dont believe in the power of Nuclear weapons or u so much scared for ur life. We not just gonna keep ICBMS as showpiece in our dryingroomz...:smokin:
Or I can say ICBMS dont work against US, cuz it has anti ballistic weapons??...:woot:

Soon they may need the ability to reach new york and London.

Also, remember a SLV. You need the ability to launch your own satelites, and their is a lot of money in launching other peoples.

Wise men have said, think before you speak.

O bhai it is far more expensive to launch one's own satellite.....the whole project if indigenous would require more money and more resources and technological expertise...

now there are cheaper alternatives available.

Perhaps if Pakistan want to avoid episodes of "My way or Hiway", they may be better served by focusing on building and expansive and vibrant economy which does not require capital from abroad -- I mean surely that and not ICBM which some may have less and others more of, is a better guarantor of the Pakistani state's autonomy

Can't agree with you more. It's all about economy.

Pakistan can test fire the missile in the Arabian sea and have your warships monitor the flight.

India does the same with Agni missiles on its Eastern front in the Bay of Bengal.

In this manner, the missiles can be tested to its full range and no danger of falling on another country's land unless there is a massive failure and the missile ends up going in the wrong direction.

Pakistan have already tested Shaheen-II by launcing this from Baluchistan and it fell in the ocean. ON navy ships were at the delivery sight to moniter the delivery.

Shaheen-II being intermediate range is often tested in by launch and delivvery both on land but this specific test might have been justa carried out as a drill to test longer range missiles.

who knows, it might actually have been a longer range missiles just decoyed as a Shaheen-II ;)
