Yemen's Houthis claim seizing 20 positions in Saudi Arabia
Houthi spokesman says 'surprise' push in kingdom's Najran province caused heavy losses to Saudi-led coalition's forces.

Yemen's Houthi group has claimed that its forces crossed the border into neighbouring Saudi Arabia, which leads a military coalition against them, and took control of more than 20 positions.

Speaking to Yemen's SABA news agency, Houthi spokesman Yahya Sarei said on Wednesday that the military sites in the kingdom's southwestern Najran province were captured in a "surprise" offensive carried out over the past three days.

The spokesman said that more than 200 personnel affiliated with the Saudi-UAE-led military coalition battling the Houthis had been killed or wounded, while many others were captured along with large quantities of military equipment.

"We have extensive video footage of the operation which will be broadcast later," Sarei was quoted as saying.

His claims could not be independently verified. There was no immediate comment from Saudi Arabia or the military coalition.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Houthi-run Al-Masirah television channel reported that Houthi fighters had launched multiple attacks on several Saudi military positions in Najran, which is located adjacent to the Yemeni border.

Yemen's latest conflict broke out in late 2014 when the Houthis, allied with forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, seized much of the country, including the capital, Sanaa.

The war escalated in March 2015 when a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates launched a fierce air campaign against the rebels in a bid to restore the internationally recognised government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

Since then, tens of thousands of civilians and combatants have been killed and as many as 85,000 children may have starved to death.

. . .
If this is true then Saudi is wasting money buying weapons as it's men cant fight.
Will they ask Pakistani ground troops now? Hope not
Pakistan, Egypt will both reject sending troops. Only mercenary saudi backed sudanese generals (and their so called rapid support forces) who killed 60 sudanese 2 days ago will sends some troops.

.
I think this is declaration of war by Iran.it is time for pakistan, turkey and Egypt to join saudia and finish everything on the ground.i think now Arabs have genuine reason to attack iran.time to finish Persian empire.it is necessary for allies to capture irgc commander and that revolutionary shit.i think Trump should seriously consider attack on Iran and execute entire mullah regime back in america.israel should also join Arabs.iran is danger not only for Muslim countries but for the entire region.

Regarding which arab "brothers" will send troops, you can always know based on who is broke- the more broke, the more likely they ar to send troops. Sudan was broke, so they traded their Iran relationship for Saudi subservience. If Saudis offer another $2-5 bn to Pakistan, Pakistan might send some troops. did you see how fast UAE pulled out their soldiers? yup, they have $$, so the loss of lives isnt worth it for them. its mostly economic and national stratetic interest that matter these days. Those of u who follow religious "context" too much arent smart enough..

You should be sent first.

LMAO. Pakistan cant finish anything now because India is a full time job for PA. Turkey wont join in because it will get slap from Iran in form of Kurdish insurgency. Egypt already said they wont send troops(https://www.asiatimes.com/2019/05/article/the-uss-middle-east-strategy-might-be-fraying/?_=4566334).

When we talk theory, you are 1000000% correct. when we talk reality, you are 0% correct. US cant "finish Persian" empire and you think Pakistan, Turkey and Egypt can do so? they're all not wealthy and arent even 1st rate militaries. go sit down.

Wrong. Pakistan hasn't sent any soldiers up until now and they've received over $8b from KSA, UAE (including deferred oil payments) and it would go against what Pakistan's official stance has been for a long time. Another $2-5b won't change anything.

You're calling them propaganda website(which is a fallacy- ad hominem) to suppress the truths they expose. you're sneaky. you cant hide the truth.

It is a trap by u.s and soon u.s jets will start bombing saudis cities and kill civilians in the name of ending terrorists like they did in Syria.Pakistan should send jf17 bombers and army to bomb these houthis and crush this insurgency even if we are required to use tactical nukes on houthis. This cannot be tolerated
