The Patriot was already there in UAE the only new thing that arrived is A/N TPY-2 that makes it THAAD and the A/N TPY2 also supports the batteries in Saudia. The THAAD arrived before the missile attacks. I made a thread before these missiles attack about the arrival of THAAD. My point here is THAAD not good enough.

The Patriot alone was good enough for a 98/99% interception.. THAAD or the added Radar as you say was not operational at that time, or was but still in the making for the UAE first, then for the other GCC members later on..

Let's be honest and say, half the Yemeni Army supporting, supported by/Houthis and the other half supported by the GCC and the UN, but as sad as it might be, it is the Yemenis who are suffering the most..
I do not know what Houthis want for Yemen, or why they are fighting a legitimate government, it does not play in favour of the Yemenis people nor the neighbourhood.. do you have any idea?

Yemen and Saudia are in range of the system placed in UAE. The UAE location is chosen to keep both Iran and Yemen in check. Plus it will also help to keep Pakistan in check if Pakistan has any intention for Israel. Any how the successful strikes of Yemeni missiles show the effectiveness of THAAD. The problem is not with RADAR but Patriot and USA it self has admitted it and they have already started to consider improving the missile system.

I have one question that is off topic but has a solution to the conflict. How did the situation in Syria deescalated?

One more thing to add Saudia no more has support of Yemeni army that is why Houthis got these missiles. These missiles were in the hands of Yemeni army.

Do you think AL-Qaida has high end SAM in Yemen that can shoot down high altitude fighter bombers?
