It's been only a week since the "40,000 dead civilians" headline. As the examples of The Holocaust and the Yezidi massacres show, it takes a while for survivor networks to be organized into representative voices.

I don't see why anyone would target a minority that has been living in that country forever. It is not any old rivalry........ its people high on power bullying weak.

ISIS showed the world what some (thought others think it is the majority) Muslims were doing for centuries in other parts of the world. Liberals and the modern era forget their atrocities, only to be reminded how cruel some of them can be. The enslavement of ppl, systematic murdering of non-muslims, sale of young children as slaves, gang rapes, sex trafficking, enslavement, etc. all exposed what ISIS and their type were doing for centuries. Thank God, the rest of the world has been exposed to their true identity.

The ISIS itself is / was mostly Iraqis (ex military) ....... and the rivalry you are referring to was never between an Iraqi and another Iraqi ............ In all this Yazidi being minority (most of us never heard of them before) became target of ignorant violence of ISIS ......... the lies being propagated by Muslims themselves (based on distorted history) about what should be the treatment of minorities. There doesn't exist one single excuse in Islam that can be used by ISIS to justify what they did to Yazidi people (their own countrymen).

A homeland for Kurds is possible...but for Yazidis, this will be hard to get. First, they are very few in number..second, there is no major international player backing Yazidis...though international community should ensure that Yazidis are protected and are settled...Yazidis have suffered a lot in the hands of ISIS terrorists.
