Coming to a Pakistani road near you.... ;)

^^^Yamaha Crux,INR 40,935,Mileage 63KMPL,

These two are the cheapest Yamaha bikes in India, and they can compete with CD70 in terms of Mileage too I guess.
p.s:The ones I posted are commonly available specs, the mileage can be more or less depending on the user.
These bikes are manufactured by Dawood group of Companies and these bikes are a result of joint venture of Dawood Group and Yamaha. These models were introduced 4 or 5 years ago...but only God knows why Honda's 80's era designs are still dominating Pakistani market today...!!:hitwall: Here is the link below

true, the bikes produced are shitty and their design hasnt changed for decades, I so envy those indian bikes. there are so many of them, different models and different designs, wish our automobile industry was this developed and innovative.
i cant understand that we're making jets in out home but couldnt make decent bikes.

Agreed with bold part, but only Dawood Yahama Ltd (DYL) dared to introduced first new style bike in Pakistan with name of "Junoon" which was good bike and only with many color options, their 125 look much sporty then Honda's.

As a starter I want Yamaha YZR-125 the bike has the looks of a heavy bike which it is though, but has 125 cc engine which is also cost effective for Pakistani market and is less dangerous compared to 600cc and 1,000 cc monsters.

I think similar bike is already available in Pakistan from (DYL) Dawood Yamaha Ltd.

Honda & Suzuki along with some other assemblers of Chinese are already there and are producing same ancient modals.

Sad thing is that they are producing old models, but above that they have improved a bit. Also Honda & Suzuki have introduced sports bikes too including Hayabusa by Suzuki.

. . .
It is basically a assembly plant at this time. It should have been built in KPK rather than Karachi. We need job creation in northern Pakistan rather than send unemployed to Karachi to work.

At $150 mm, I don't think its is simply an assembly plant. They have had an assembly plan since the 70s, They want to compete with Honda and Suzuki both of which have full manufacturing in Pakistan.

It doesn't matter how much lipstick you put on it, it is still a 1940s pig. People will buy it because of its uniqueness not out of practicality. No one in Pakistan will buy this. Our Dodhwalas will rather buy a Suzuki Pickup than this junk and the pickup will give better milage. This is in the same class as other junk which India continues to produce like the 1940s Ambassador car, the IOF produced 1890s Webley Revolver and the 1940s Stengun.

And those interested in Pakistan's superbike culture check these links:

These Bikes have UCE aluminium engine instead of 1940 iron cast engine & your Doodhwalas can't afford this bike with more than 2 lac INR price & more than 3 month waiting despite plant running on full production capacity:laughcry:.

why should we take them? we already have enough bike manufacturing plants.

Exactly. See what ours make and then see what yours do. They are not even on the same playing field. Your bikes are possibly even more pathetic than the ones you see in the hinterlands of the most impoverished war ravaged African countries. Think about that.

BTW... all those model you listed are any way the nationalized versions of Honda, Yamaha & Suzuki... local name just help to sell in India.

Nonsense. The Japs came here in the 80s in tie-ups with Indian players. Over time the Indian players bought off their share in the venture along with licenses and technology and forayed out on their own, de-linking their names from the Japs. All of this was 100% private enterprise and nowhere was the government involved (do not confuse bikes with Maruti). Today Indian companies are buying foreign companies, with tooling and technology and know-how and making in India. The Jap players are now fringe players in India with the exception of Honda. Kawasaki has a marketing tie-up with Bajaj for some of their expensive imports. Suzuki has forayed out on their own in India now, without TVS. TVS on its part is now on its own and has been so for close to two decades now. Same with Bajaj with Kawasaki. Escorts now continues to make tractors and shockers. No link with Yamaha anymore, who have now developed their own brand in India. Honda are big in scooters and bikes, again without Hero. Hero on its part continues to manufacture and sell old Honda tech bikes, with small tech changes and big stickering ones. Bajaj now owns KTM, an Austrian brand, and develops smaller capacity bikes together with KTM at their plant in Chakan in Pune. And KTM on its side now owns Swedish brand Hsquvarna. These bikes are sold across the Western world, at prices 3+ times higher than what we Indians enjoy. BMW will soon be in a tie-up with TVS. We have Chinese-owned Italian marque Benelli coming in with a tie-up with DSK. Triumph and BMW and Harley are here on their own. Indian is entering as well. Ducati was there till recently as well. As is Aprilia.

Welcome to the world of modern business with a growing Indian footprint. Keep enjoying your last century mopeds and talking big on the internet, while we race on bigger and better bikes and catch up with the West. On our own rupee, making it in India, for the world.

This is Indian psychology where as in Pakistan, brand is more important.

Indian psychology is to get maximum bang for buck. And pay and buy and finally own.

Pakistan psychology is to talk big, with a moped in the garage carrying 5 people and 7 milk cans, with assorted goats and chickens gratis.

It doesn't matter how much lipstick you put on it, it is still a 1940s pig.

Modern Bullets have seen 3 engine changes in the past decade. Regardless, the "1940s pig" till when it was still being manufactured in Chennai was lapped up by generations of Indian (including the Indian Army) as well as bike enthusiasts around the Western world.

And it was and still is a lot more bike than anything your country makes. That's the simple truth. So keep crying that the grapes are sour. Who cares?

What's your point? That Pakistanis have money to import foreign bikes?

One Indian city would have more imports than the rest of Pakistan put together. Really, seriously, put the little nub away. There's isn't enough to even pinch, leave alone wave around.

You made a comprehensive reply to a troll post..... But then let me tell you.... You are well informed in this......:)

Strange design..... The cylinder fins/cylinder is too small compared to the head assy....

still too fuel thirsty for the Honda CD70 addicted awam....

What is the mileage/average which cd70 provides? i mean per litre ????

R15 is a very good model on this sub 200 cc segment, the power to weight ratio is amazing.....with fuel injection and liquid cooled engine....
