All modern war is of 20th century. 19th or old century mentalty motivated most of the wars to dominate and rule. But lately war scenarios changed. Wars through proxy is popular now. Our motivation should be concentrated on modern wars and practical.

If all modern war is of 20th century than why wasn't both the World Wars fought through proxies?

Because they had no idea about the new gem. Traditional ally axis art of wars were praticed. Not had to explain for any kinds of atrocities. Humanitarian concerns now changed the war shapes. Now enemy countries will arm the rebels of another countries then when civil war starts they will interfere in the name of humanity to save one over another.

That is 19th century mentality smart guy. Even USA cant touch Syria. Russia cant touch Ukraine today. I said that from BD perspective. Nobody will attack here. Our deterrance option is india and myanmar. And we have no capability of deterrance from India. Unless Nukes. Even behind myanmar today

No lah, world is much safer today than in 19th century. In 19th Century any country can deliberately attacked any weak country or civilization and colonized them without mercy. There is so much war in 19th century, and you even can't possibly listed them one by one unlike today. Much engagement happened in least developed world side like in Asia, South America or Africa, even Europe at the times must suffer from never ending war like Napoleonic War, Crimean War, War of Italy unification, Franco-Prussia War, Dannish-Prusia war, Partition of Poland, and more....
