Clamour is that Muslims have disappeared from the world
We ask whether the Muslims were present anywhere?
In fashion you are Christians.. in culture you are Hindus

Iqbal is saying that Indian Muslims are are similar to Christians (Nasara) in religion while in culture to Hindus (Hunud). Tamaddun means culture or way of life.

It means wuza= religion not fashion which I thought

No I don't have knowledge of Urdu. But I have my reasons for guessing that.
1) I know that in Jawab e Shikwa Iqbal has criticised muslims for not following their religion in correct manner.

2) Zaki wrote before me in thread that Nasara = Christian. I knew it beforehand that Hanood = Hindu.

3) Because Iqbal is criticising muslims for not following their religion correctly and following something of Christians and something of Hindus. You can easily tell by seeing an average subcontinental muslim that their fashion is influenced by western (Christian) People and they have also a cultural similarity with Subcontinental Hindus.

That's how I guessed.

Little correction, What Iqbal meant was Muslims following religion like Nasara/Christian (i.e. They cherry pick things to follow in religion, twist commandments as per wishes) not as Muslims following Christianity.
