Yahoo id Hacked

Hai guys.. One of my friends yahoo email id got hacked. And been in his contact list i got this email from his id

Hope you are doing good? I am away in United Kingdom on a business trip at the moment, unfortunately for me I was robbed overnight on my way back to the hotel, my mobile phone and all the cash i had was stolen. luckily for me i still have my passport with me which i left in my hotel room before the incident.I have been to the Embassy and the Police here but they're not helping issues at all. At the moment i am stranded, i can't pay my hotels bills,. Could you please send me £1,450 (GB)British Pounds to enable me pay my bills and fly back home. As soon as I get back I would refund it immediately. Please all I need you to do is to go to any Western Union Outlet and send me the money before the bank closes here. Below are my details for the western union Transfer.

England.

As soon as its sent, just write out the money transfer control number(MTCN) and do email it to me.Right now i just have access to only email.

Would be waiting.

No .. but he uses this yahoo id as an official email and got alot of personal data in it.

yahoo id is not secure...
they lost it years ago,and probably don’t care any more...
better use gmail

^^ contact them, I lost it too once and I remembered nothing, neither password nor the secret question and I didnt even provided them with the alternative email id... I emailed them and told them about it... and they recovered it by sending me a link to change my password.... and add secret question and alternative email id...

Dont ever give MTCN number to any one-

anyway use yahoo password recovery service to get it back-

I double that... same happened to me.

they will have this option of secondary mail id as well as mobile number.The password for the yahoo id can be reset using the secondary mail id,as well as the mobile number,if it has been already provided.They will send an sms to the mobile number.
If none of these are present,then the password can still be reset by using the pre-defined question-answers,which is mandatory for creating account.

Check out password recovery process..
where you ll get some option like alternate email id , where they ll send u link to reset or you can give security question ans.

just hope he didnt change alternate email id and security questions.
