They had an urdu broadcast for decades on shortwave; what is new here. Similarly Radio Pakistan uses Shortwave to broadcast to East Africa in Swahili daily in the mornings.

I think you are referring to their radio services, this is now a dedicated TV channel.

But our media is a joke, why would we want to export that, at least our media channels could learn to compete and become more professional. At the moment they can’t even create a narrative against Indian sponsored terror like theirs do against us - PTV Geo just have gossip and sensationalist stuff.

You're right. Our media isn't slick and professional enough. PTV World - case in point.

In Chinese schools, Pakistan is portrayed as a Brother. And this is not due to PTV or at our request. So I'm fine with Chinese media outlet promoting this mammoth strategic joint venture in Pakistan.

PTV has enough snakes to cock things up if given permission in China whereas CCP controlled media house will never act like Voice of America etc promoting terrorists and Libturds!

Urdu is very important. Not all Pakistanis speak fluent English.

Even fever Pakistanis speak eloquent Urdu every day than ones who can do basic English.
