I do use PH for Financial Transactions and also use MI Cloud Services and don't see any harm in it. Once's personal and financial information can be used by Apple or Samsung or etc.

This is a case filed by Ericsson againt Xiaomi, this is not about India banning anything by itself. Nor is Xiaomi the only target. Ercisson succesfully filed against the largest Indian mobile player Micromax & targetted Gionee too. This is not a major issue in itself because Xiaomi can end the ban the moment they agree to give a percentage of their sales as royalty to Ericsson. Micromax had to give 1%. The bigger problem is that this ruling will likely bring in more challengers like Apple, Google, Microsoft,Samsung etc. Apple will probably be a big threat to Xiaomi considering that claims of design rip off's have been consistently made. Expect more Chinese companies in India to be targetted and you could also see such actions happening in other countries and they may well cite the Indian courts decisions. China has largely protected its companies from patent litigation, outside of China many of the companies may now be smelling blood.

Everybody is doing it. However, with an US company the worst thing that can happen to you is more spam in your inbox. With a Chinese company, I very much doubt you can have the same degree of confidence. I mean, your talking about a country that blatantly copies things with no regard for intellectual property rights. Do you really think if push comes to shove, they are not going to use your information without any regard for you or the law?

Have you ever thought while downloading any Aap on your Phone, why it requires your entire Mobile Access or why Email Service Provider to update your Personal information like Phone Number etc? Itna sochna say badiye hai, start using POT Phones - Landline Wale.

Xiaomi`s MIUI is among the best Android ROMs.
It is better than iPhone which has too much shitting restrictions..
Also since IOS7, apple starting to copy android..
It is pretty clear..

As a Redmi user who has visited India, I would say it is a lose for India consumer..
What I see is that most Indian are using low end Samsung smart phone or even Nokia non-smart phones.
Xiaomi`s phone is pretty good in performance against these phones, and also affordable for India people.
Company like Ericsson are using patent to suck our blood..They are already rich enough..

I'm posting from there Phone. Xiaomi, Phones are value for money & Good. Also, all Chinese products are not Crap. You get what you pay.

I agree there is plenty of data mining. Facebook used a picture of a girl who'd committed suicide in an ad for a dating site. I log onto PDF and the front page has ads for BMW parts because I'd looked up the dynamic stability control for my car once when I thought the dealer was bending me over the barrel. There's pretty much no privacy anywhere these days.
