Xiaomi Redmi Note4 is not even China's top10 bestsellers....
India is a price sensitive market and Xiaomi is providing best bang of bucks, that's why they are so popular.
Brand like Oppo and Vivo are mostly sold offline and not many people like to buy them online.
Radmi note 4 is indeed a very popular device because of it's pricing.

not many ppl buy xiaomi's mid to high price products

Well politics aside, trade is a positive way to connect two countries.
Yes smartphones at bottle neck price are crucial for India's digital development, Xiaomi assembling there units in India selling better specs at lower price than others, What else we need more?

Not to forget Redmi 4 & 4A selling at just 7k & 6k .

But their upcoming new 5 lineup may price higher than 4x ones.

Mi A1 is the best they have,

I'm fed up with stock, have been with RR, Cynogen, Lenage os all are based on stock...
thinking to switch to Xiaomi when they launch their 5 lineup next year in January

Differentiation is vital.

VIVO is doing great in india.
VIVO+OPPO for medium price range (indian website defines as 10000-20000 rupees)

xiaomi for 5000-10000 rupees (xiaomi's low-end is doing badly in China because this range has little market)

One Plus for >30000 rupees (defined as premium range in india)

Then, these brands are avoiding the price range <5000 rupees (basic smart phone + feature phone)
where india's local brands are doing pretty good.

My major concern is about vivo vs oppo....
I know they are invested by the same mother group (also controls One Plus).
Their price ranges and targeted groups (young, music/selfie lovers) are similar

they have launched their Radmi 5 series as Redmi Y in India.
Hmm i know but there have been some leaks in the past 2-3 days ago about note 5, 5 Plus with Bezel less display & 5A.

I'd like to grab 5 Plus but don't know why Xiaomi lacks the configuration of Carrier Aggregation in Indian units despite of the hardware capability.
we have to root them to enable 4G+ 2xcarriers.

who needs Xiaomi or Samsung?
We need Micromaxxx, and above all, Freedom 251 hyper phones.

Patriotic indian members alert!
Go to the indian customs, demand all xiaomi phones be drown into the Ganges.
TROLL lmfao. Added to ignore list.

wow, for premium phones according to indian standards (30000 rupees or more),
finally, indian brands have beaten Coliea brand.

Samsung pushed to No 3 slot in premium phones, loses out to Apple & OnePlus

The One Plus is from China, brother of OPPO ... the most sold in Indian phone market it's One Plus.

Any idea on what the ASPs of China and Indian markets are?

Also, how much is China market growing?

I am getting varying estimates, with IDC saying that it declined by 1% and gfK saying that it increased by 5%.

Also, how are the ASPs in both India and China changing with time?

as much as i despises xiaomi, still glad Chinese company is doing well in India
