Japan is a sworn enemy of China for centuries, they still think they should keep Taiwan as their colony, so their position is no surprise here, China will answer them with DF missiles. I dont think South Korea will come out and against China, they most likely will be neutral, or they have to watch NK on their back all the time. The Yankee and EU white bigots attitudes on Taiwan are expected, they are against China no matter what unless China become their puppet, then things might be somewhat different.

Japan is a colony. The political goal of any colony is independence, and Japan is no exception.

If Japan wants independence, it must weaken both China and USA.

Therefore, Japan's goal is to provoke a war between China and the USA on the Korean Peninsula or the Taiwan Strait. Japan copies their positions in the Korean War, provides logistical support for the USA, and revives the Japanese economy through material orders.
