WW-III : What will be the flash point to trigger the WW-III?

Let's discuss that from where, the WWIII might start?
1. South China Sea (US teaming up with it's allies in South China Sea and provoking China by attack on it's navy)?
2. Middle East ( 2 or 3 Arab countries joining for offence or defence against Israel?
3. War on Kashmir?
4. Any other place ( Probably by direct conflict b/w USA and Russia on major Cyber Attack etc)?

Not sure really but honestly, none of the four scenarios you mentioned seem likely.

1. With deep vested trade ties and China rapidly growing its influence around the world, the two super powers will try to avoid any conflict that might end up challenging their "Super Power" status.
   
2. I don't see ANY Arab country going against Israel. Not unless there are some drastic changes in these countries first. Kind of a revolution.
   
3. Not likely. India again also is a growing economic power, they wont want to trigger anything that hamper that progress. Pakistan on other hand will remain focused on improving economy and maintaining credible deterrence.
4. If it didnt happened during Cold War it wont happen now!

Are you sure about 3rd? With the Balakot incident and article 370 stunt do you think current Indian regime prioirty is economic development of its hatred towards Pakistan?

On point 2 , I think chances are of reverse working i.e. Israel's attack on other countries in middle east as the sole purpose of Israel is formation of promised which cant be completed without capturing Jordan, Syria, Iraq and parts of Saudia and Egypt.

Relax, guys. While parity between the US and Russia in nuclear weapons exists - there will be no WW3.
But in future we have some options.
For example - US develops weapons dozens times more powerfull then nukes with unstoppable delivery means and risks to attack Russia. 1) Russia is destroyed, all other countries swear eternal allegiance to the United States. 2) Before attack Russia shows it has the same or more powerfull weapoms - no attack (new parity). 3) New US weapons destroyed the whole world.
So - I think strategic parity is the only insurance from WW3.

The sole purpose of such attacks and provocation was to get their own extremist public to gather in support. Until the Balance of Power breaks down thats when WW3 will happen.

Since we have nukes and other deadly weapons nobody will face each other head on.

Usa, Uk, Russia, China and France which keep the balance of power through the UN. Uk and France are in downard spiral so the future balance of power will be held through Usa, Russia and China.

This does not mean war is over the countries like the USA and Russia will invade or intervene in small or weak countries but they wont face each other head on.

Name of the game in this day and age is proxy wars. Usa and Russia will try to weaken each other by indirect methods. Usa is trying to do that with China but instead of supporting various groups its using Economic Warfare to contain China and its ambitions.

The only reason why USA do not nuke Russia - is because Russia will destroy USA in retaliation. That is why Russia will spend money on nuclear arsenal, despites of bad economy.


Because without 2 leading military powers it will not be World War, just local conflict.
I am all for Russia do not take part in WW3 because we were the main victims of WW1 and WW2.
