Yeah well, they did carry Bhutto to the gallows on a stretcher, possible that Pakistan could do the same with Sarabjit Singh. After all what does a trifling matter like being brain dead be enough of a reason to stop some people.

Some people like Sarabjit Singh have to be hit on the head & suffer grievous injuries to be brain dead, from the looks of what I'm reading, that condition seems to be achieved here, by many, from birth.

he should not be handed over till he is announced to be dead and dead dead not dead over here and alive over there. He should have been hanged a long time ago. these mercy pleas did not benefit him. his conditions remains to be seen. right now even if he is brain dead he is still alive and thus should not be handed over.

I am sure if the situation was other way around india wouldnt give him to us alive. we have to wait for couple of days to see if he has any improvement and it seems that their govt doesnt care much either.

Take your time. People don't recover from being "brain dead". If your doctors are competent & they made that diagnosis, it means it is a closed case. The man is dead.

Are you saying that your doctors are incompetent for misdiagnosing an open shut case like that of brain death ?

You may have to wait forever for a confirmation because life support could keep your other vital organs functioning infinitely. A brain dead person is considered dead because consciousness resides in brain rather than any other organ.

He is dead & everyone knows it. Just something for the government to figure how far they want to take it. Unlike PDF members, the GoP will still have to negotiate with GoI on many matters including prisoners. I believe that the GoI is giving the GoP a chance to damp down this issue by offering to take someone who is brain dead off Pakistan's hands. It really doesn't matter anymore to Sarabjit Singh .

For the same reason. Also to try & show the Indian public that they tried. It's a cynical world. The GoI knows that its all over for Sarabjit. They just don't want the anger that will follow his death in such circumstances to further force their hand on relations with Pakistan.
