IK has spoken openly about retribution---he has spoken openly about powers to be manipulating poor nations---.

Would these powers allow him to be in the position of power or would they try to take him out---?

the threat will always be there but these days people are taking heed to such an adventure unlike the past with liaqat ali khan or Zia. IK himself shouldn't be an idiot and refuse necessary security/protocol. He's going to become the PM of a state that has lots of enemies, time to start acting like one.

he is PM elect , he has got security . every PM has got some security risk ,pakistan is full of groups who can be threat to a stable government .

Anyway, if you worry about such trivial matters its high time to let them go and hope for a more positive outlook. The entire country's rallying behind IK and rest assured he's in the best hands as far as the Intelligence agencies are concerned. The intel has surley come a long way from the days of the Bhutto's and Zia but if you want to hear it from the horses mouth, here's a video for you. Watch till the end.

This is a wrong question they are already trying to take him out the question should be will they be successful?

Yes, he is in extreme danger and I don't think he takes threat seriously. Saving money is important but reducing protocol is pennies wise but pound foolish. Indeed because we have a PM who is going against the established order, with Pakistan and abroad he will have extremely powerful groups as enemies. Just read the venom in western media and you will see. Therefore he needs even more elaborate security then previous leaders in Pakistan. At risk is 'Naya Pakistan' and for sake of that IK should take his personal security very seriously. Bani Gala is to open to be secured.

Frankly I would much rather have if he had occupied PM House. The fact is it is giant palace but it already has been built so use the darned thing. Also I feel a PM of 200 million nuclear state should have some gravitas in where he resides. But Ik is stubborn. We may not like that but that is the same quality that has kept him going for 22 years of being laughed at and ridiculed. All great leaders have imperfections. IK has terrible choice in women. Although in that sense he reminds me of Jinnah who married but died a lonely death with his only child living far away in India.

Those foreign and domestic powers out there whose interests not aligned with PM IK will probably at least attempts to take him out just like any other nations leaders. But if the Pakistan intelligence agency and security do their job. There is really not much to worry about.

Every nation's leaders from around the world face the same problem. You are going to have enemies who wanted you dead no matter which countries you are from anyway. You won't even hear anything in the news if everything is being taken care of the right way behind the scene.

There are many enemies, and the risk of an assassination attempt is real. Security will have their work cut out for them, but Imran Khan can minimize the risk by delegating to other ministers and building up the PTI party on merit, so that dozens of junior party members can take his place. Either way, if his party is to live on beyond himself, he will need to plan for successors to carry on his vision, and the sooner the better. Look at what happened to Pakistan after Qaid-e-Azam passed away in 1948.

The chances of attempt pre oath taking are smaller than post oath taking.

If he is going to sideline the usual status quo champions (many in his own party), bring in the reforms he has promised, he will not only be making enemies with influential wealthy political elite, but bureaucracy and almost every corrupt Pakistani, from an ordinary shopkeeper to clerk babu to a normal kaka Sepoy of police. Pakistanis have become addicted to corrupt non functioning system ....... they will be the ones making hue and cry when a drastic change is brought to the system.

External state sponsored attempts should simply mean war irrespective of if its IK or anyone else, leading Pakistan as a PM / President. But again Pakistan has never replied back, don't know if they are ready for it now.
