It was big deal earlier this year when IMF, World Bank, Morgan Stanley & other international financial institutions were forecasting only 1.5% GDP growth for Pakistani economy. While a lone economist, Muzzammil Aslam was he only public voice who foretasted 4% GDP growth since December 2020 & publicly rejected the growth estimates of IMF et al.
He is also the first person that I know of, who predicted all time high wheat crop late last year.

Now he has new forecast about cotton, wheat, rice & sugarcane crops for this fiscal year . Would he be right again this time around?

Great .

.
He was 100% wrong about devaluation reduces import and increase export ,however, i wish to Allah that this come true because this will benefit Pakistan. Devaluation did not benefited Pakistan one bit since PTI came.

You are holding the "stick" from the wrong end.

No "devaluation" was done -- I repeat: " no devaluation was done".

Ishaq Dar had frozen the $ to rupee rate at an artificial Pak rupee 103 (approx.)
Due to this artificial freezing the exports plummeted because rupee was dropping yet the ratio was static.

PTI govt lifted this artificial freeze, leading to correction of rupee : $ price; leading to inflation.

There was no other way.

N-Leagui's are incorrigible. I went to a sanitary store today to buy some stuff in Lahore. The owner was lamenting the drop in sales because IK is discouraging imports. All this when handing a sales receipt of ~5,000 PKR to a customer.

Banda litae aur littar mare jae.

Your are wrong. It is a significant factor along with others. You are going against basic concepts of macro economics. Exports don’t increase overnight if you don’t have anything to export.

Eh?
What?

exports decreased from 22.7 billion to 26.8 billion dollars..a total decrease of around 20% over 3 years in PTI govt

While during my peer the exports increased by 20% from 25b$ to 21.8b$ (2012-2018)

This was despite SARS and H1NC and militray dictatorship which made it difficult for nawaz sharif govt

What has govt did? Banned PUBG making common people life miserable

.
Eh?
Same as 2011 number of export. PKR was 80 against dollar.

. . .
Same 31 billion. Only 1 million dollar increase from 2011. In 2011 Pakistan did 31 billion dollar export.
They got this

Which they turned around to highest in Pakistan history during a global pandemic but I am sure spin masters are directed not to mention that

No because first 3 years all government did control CAD. PPP did far better than others and when PPP left the government it was 2.5 billion dollar CAD in 2013 for PMLN. PPP did the best among PTI and PMLN when it comes export and controlling imports.

PTI is first ever party who has done 4.2 billion trade deficit in just one month and highest import of 6.5 billion dollar in Pakistan history even after devaluing currency 30%.

All PTI has done is hired same PPP rented FM.

.
No sir 22b of nawaz sharif is 3b greater then 25b of PTI; simple maths
25-22=3b
@Desprado
We literally have a chance of hitting 28 next year if not 30 and these clowns just want subsidized growth back where factories shut down and all big spending is concentrated in central punjab

Did you even analyze what items caused a spike in last few months?

Also for the last time PTI isnt devaluing currency the currency is reflecting its real value that is reflective of our economic reality

Only an idiot will think that the government needs to pump billions into the system just so that gamay majay could have subsidized consumption for next few months completely wasting reserves which could be better spent at upgrading our infrastructure to support our export industries
There are still people in this world who think subsidizing consumption in a developing economy is a good thing even after witnessing what happened in Lebanon @ziaulislam
People want to emulate that instead of avoiding this
