Just a sales deal why should it concern us (Pakistan) UAE need to sell their oil , so ?
A busienss oil sale deal , nothing more

I think Pakistan have our own strategic interest in region and we presently do not have a position on UAE's private business interest

We generally focus on our own Foreign Policy , and peaceful relations with regional countries as we don't view the world in shades of sects or creed

At the excusive OIC summit , the nations supported our view point on matter of mutual interest related to Kashmir as a collective group and that was apperciated at tha time

Certainly in future no reason why UAE can't be actively involved in economical projects with us

So really its generally their own internal matter , heavily influenced by trade and economical crunch factor

Long Live Arab/Indian brotherhood. Nice to see Arab and Indian soldiers marching past Modee Jee in New Delhi while the Kashmiri's are being maimed and by killed Indian soldiers. I wonder what would Burhan Wani think?

Everybody look after for its interest..I hope a day come when we started to think like Pakistanis..Those who are not loyal to there motherland can't be loyal to anyone else.

At the end of day UAE is a sovreign country with its own trade requirements and need to sell certain assets like oil, since oil prices have collapsed , some nations are trying to secure steady trade deals to prevent economical collapse

UAE really has no other avenue , they can't even make enough water if they run out of cash etc
  • OIC has supported collectively Pakistan on issue of Kashmir and that is sufficient for now

Thanks for that brother. Look to me it's simple as 2+2=4. I can't believe large section of Pakistan has been duped. I think it's about Islam. Many simple Pakistani's have difficulty in separating Islam amd Arabs. Then we have many Pakistani's who have been bought out by GCC. So have Indian's but they don't sell their soul. You can see how for example @Levina is happy celebrating the Arabs (she is employed by them) but equally she will celebrate the Iranians. Fact is she places India before Arabs or Iran. Self interest should be foremost and I don't mean one mans self interest - that is private interest. I mean national self interest. Nawaz Sharif enjoys private interest with GCC. That is useless for the state.

Having said this - this event must shake even the most blind. Arab soldiers marching hands with Indian soldiers who have come back from shooting pellets into the Kashmiri children eyes are saluting Miodee Jee. If this image does not wake up these people - nothing will.

And this these three images should shake anybody.

UAE soldiers marching in New Delhi

I suppose if the arabs can turn a blind eye to Pakistanis raping and massacring hundreds of thousands of their own "muslim brothers" in Bangladesh, this shouldn't be much to worry about either!
Sounds about right!

Some one please tell Pakistanis that we have Pakistani dignitaries also as chief guest on two occasions ...Please calm down its just Republic day.

.
You used some harsh words but you are right self interest is always first in international diplomacy everything else comes after that.
Just the spelling is Modi not Modee :)
The truth is UAE can go and crawl inside Modee Jee's huge nostrils and Arabs can all wear Saree's for all I care. What is more important is Pakistan learns the meaning of 'self interest'. Dumps the ummak chumma business. Then pursues self interest with absolute conviction. I would have the Baloch Regiment of the Pak Army marching down Ben Gurion Road, Jersualam, Israel in pursuit of self interest.

I think all in all this is great event. It will provide the neccessary shock to some people in Pakistan and provide the impetus to free Pakistan from the 'Arab addiction' that first Bhutto and then Gen. Zia foisted on Pakistan.

Further Pakistan needs to move away from personal relations to state relationships. At the moment the Arabs have just bought out our elite like Nawaz Sharif and Zardari. These people are personally beholden to their masters and will sell Pakistan for their own private benefit.

I hope so, mate, I hope so.
When we will select our leaders honestly that will be the day..Trade , diplomacy and alliances are always based on realities not on wishes...We respect our business partner more then our brother in real life if brother is not well..Same is the case with countries..
GCC rulers are good in this.. I admire them for 1 single reason. They have given a better life to there people and that is what matters.

Aren't you guys, both Pakistanis and Indians, reading too much into what's essentially a mere symbolic event?

India has been inviting heads of states from world over. And the UAE reciprocated the honor by illuminating Indian flag for an evening. I would believe it all only once there is something really ground-breaking in our relationships with the states that have been invited for the Republic Day Parade so far.

A mere flag illumination, although nice, wouldn't cut it for me.

.
You used some harsh words
You are aware that I am not the least bothered about what UAE or India do. Both are sovereign states and entirely entitled to do what they want the way they want.

My angles is only limited to addressing a disease or condition that has afflicted vast majority of Pakistani's. For lack of a better word lets call it the 'ummah chummah syndrome'. Essentially what it does is it makes Pakistani's look at Arabs like they carry the halo of the prophet (pbuh) and will go jiigy at the mention of 'A-rab'. Imagine a alcoholic denied his due for a month and then he sees a full bottle of whiskey. Or a rampant teenager who sees get's eyeful of breasts of a virgin for the first time. In similar way this addiction has taken over Pakistani society. I reckon you could sell sh*te to some Pakistan's as long as you made them believe it was from a Arab and was packaged in Saudia Arabia.

How bad this addiction is? I even see it in UK. Since mid 1990s I have began to see Pakistani's starting to dump their Shalwar Kameez and wear the long Arab gown. Can you believe this? They are trying to live, breath, sing Arab while living in UK. I see Syrian refugees in UK all the time. They are all wearing Western cloths !

I honestly don';t mind UAE having a good relationship with India. What gets me is Pakistan get';s all the shite from the Arabs but then gets shagged when it comes to the benefits. Of course the blame is on Pakistan and lack of self interest.

Did you read the entire news on the recent deals signed between the two States? The UAE is going to set up a $75 billion infrastructure fund for India. What have they done in Pakistan? Nothing:) Oh, yeah, they love coming to our country to hunt rare birds for their sick pleasure. The ummah concept doesn't exists and when Pakistan realizes this fact, then we shall progress forward. Once Gwadar is up and running and the oil finishes in UAE, then we shall see how powerful they are.
