I agree. Indians have benefited far more and have a larger population than us in the gulf states. Their products are filled in the markets there with shan being the only Pakistani thing around. It is partly due to our own failings but also due to factors like the agha khanis being denied permission to create a hospital though it could have challenged Thumbay and Aster with its class.

This is an important challenge though I doubt the results will be conclusive. I am not a fan of the wahabi mullahs but I respect UAE because there is a larger opportunity for migrants to excel there which our home country just hasn't created, part of the reason you are in Britain friend. But could they do more for Pakistan? Definitely so and Far more. Pakistanis are poor but can replace the Philippinos and indians easily as we have the same skill set and the same partly educated partly eneducated population. We dominate transport in UAE with drivers being mostly Pakistani but the rest we are just lagging behind.

But are they arabs doing something for us? Yes, to an extent and the UAE has helped fund roads in Pakistan including one in Waziristan which makes movement easier. But I am with you on this one and at times I have witnessed dislike from arabs when we speak urdu. They have a feeling of superiority. So there are pros and cons. But the gulf can definately do more. Clearly they often play with our Islamic sentiment, partly gaining from it but giving back little in the name of Islam. Only we have taken the theka for Islam and helped Afghans like brothers and are hated for it.

Agha Khan Hospital - Not true.

Their biggest Jammat Khana in the Arab world is in Dubai, Prince Karim's personal investments are in Dubai, the hospital issue was declined from their end. Not ours.
