World's most mass produced tanks

.
Tanks in 1989 (the end of Col War) by country:

1) USSR - 63,900
2) USA - 15,600
3) China - 9,000
4) W. Germany - 4,937
5) Iraq - 4,500
6) Syria - 4,050
7) Poland - 3,950
8) Israel - 3,850
9) Turkey - 3,600
10) Czechoslovakia - 3,400
11) India - 3,150
12) North Korea - 3,000
13) E. Germany - 2,850
14) Bulgaria - 2,550
15) Egypt - 2,425
16) Greece - 1,893
17) Romania - 1,860
18) Libya - 1,800
19) Pakistan - 1,600
20) Vietnam - 1,600

But T-90 is not that powerful than modernized T-72 and T-80 with new ERA, engine, Electronics, main gun and Arina+Shtora systems. There are 702 T-90 in service not 380.
* Between 1993-1998 were produced about 100 T-90 tanks. Between 2004-2010 were produced 280 T-90A tanks. Thats 380 tanks in Russian army total.
* India bought 657 T-90S tanks in 2001 and 2007 (some of them were built in India). Another 1000 T-90S will be lisence produced by 2020.

USSR maintained superiority during whole Cold War period not only in numbers, but on technical characteristics of tanks. Now situation is a bit different... But not worse. Future of course is more brilliant. By 2020 structure of US forces (the closest in numbers) will remain of about 2000 M1A2 Abrams, and several thousands of older versions as back up in reserve. Russian army structure in comparison will be composed of about 8000-10000 vehicles, by fully readiness brigades with 2300 Armata tanks of next generation (superior to anything in characteristics) and rest 60000-80000 of modernised T-72 versions, T-90, T-80 which are no worse than Abrams force in US.

No one can make better tanks than Germans... Even Israel with its Merkava (only weakness its lesser armor in rear) had to import most of Merkavas parts from Germany...

And T-72 was not better than Leopard1 or Leopard 2....

It was reported Iraq lost around 3000-4000 tanks in the gulf war, as weird as this is to say but Saddam Starting the Gulf war helped China out Military wise reformed our forces.

Although now I am looking forward to see that the HIT facility along with POF will going to be upgraded and expanded too, like some new facilities in Sindh and Balochistan as well. We hope that in near future we will be able to see 3000 MBTs along with 1100 Self Propelled Howetzer's too.

Russia has massive border so needs many tanks , but if a country gets air control they can just bomb them tanks from air

Those M1A1 are being redesigned as M1A1D; bringing them on par with M1A2 SEP standards. Therefore, they are not going to be a reserve force.

Also, US is developing several new military vehicles including M1A3.

In addition, US warfare doctrine is also different from that of Russia. US ground forces are adequately complemented by vastly superior airpower and this makes US war machine unstoppable.
