Worlds biggest illegale Gun market in Pakistan

Because of their ingenuity, craftsmanship and skilled labor, the GOP introduced a pro gramme to bring these people into main stream.
For all the hue and cry of being illegal gun market, apparently some of the biggest customers are American gun collectors. The Dara made double barrel shotguns with inscriptions and fancy work detail has proved very popular with the Americans who are paying ten times the original price in mainland USA.

First of all don't tell me what quality of weapons they make, as they have very very rare good quality manufacturers, whole prices nearly reaches any good foreign made gun.

These guns have many issues, their barrels wear out after a few hundred or a thousand+ rounds, majority of the weapons can't be fired constantly as it becomes very hot and can burst, so the reliability of these guns is very poor, making them unfit for combat use. As they are of very poor quality. Majority of the purchasers are local city people who don't have to use them in combat, rather for hoe defence or just for show off. Recently i bought a Chinese 9mm for 33K even i could the best of Darra made pistol for 10-15K, but as usual reliability was an issue, especially keeping SD as a factor.

Their best sold weapons are pistols, shotguns and single fire copies of AK-47, 74 etc etc etc used for security guard duties and hoe defence things.

And since last 5-6 years the market has taken a lot of hit and majority of the gun smith businesses have closed.

The weapons of Darra are not for combat, unreliable they are. Even their bullets are known to cause FTF & FTE issues a lot.

Their major market is the tribal people themselves, and the other pakistani people looking for cheap weapons which they employ rarely in their life. But for combat TTP, Afghan Mujaheddin and others prefer Chinese / Russian weapons, which come from across the border.

Aight, agreed , but again brother terrorist use these weapons, which is wrong - or illegal people use them,

see its clearly a black spot on law of the country- pakistan as a sovereign nation have imposed ban on this market but its running - which is enough of a point to prove that its wrong there is no debate left after it. these gun market have to be distroyed , so that civil people dont have access to weapon,

because all people are not meant to carry a weapon nor do they deserve to.

this market have to have some strong action taken by some law enforcement agency.

the debate can only exist if - pakistan first legalise it , till that happens these markets have to be wiped off.

These gun markets are supported by Indian(RAW) funding to create mayhem and chaos within our border. Ask your self this question, where are the material for the guns parts coming from, and sophisticated components? these gun markets should be shut down immediately it is one the main reasons for the present instability in Pakistan.

So who stopping PAK Army to Take Action? are PAK army not capable enough in taking Action? OR they fears of being lost by them?

duhastmish is correct. You guys need to shut these two-bit gun factories down. Only the state should hold a monopoly on violence and the gun culture that's glorified as an element of the quaint pashtus needs to cease.

The laws are there for a reason and need to be respected.

Thanks.:usflag:

times have changed and something must be done, however, there were NO issues when things were 'normal' or before the advent of the taliban.

i have been to darra adam khel. there are about ~10-15 shops along the main street who 'sell' their wares. their workshops dont have the capacity to feed/supply the taliban/terrorists. the taliban/terrorists supply chain is from other sources - eg; vast reserves left over from the afghan/soviet era - illegal arms trade (supply from every tom, dick and harry) - these are the sources that need to be stopped/interdicted, not these gun makers!!!

And this 'advice' is coming from someone who lives in the land of largest arms market (legal and illegal) in the world!!??!!

Sure we'll close down the tiny little Darra which is more symbolic then being a ''factory'' of weapons per say the day you Americans give up your much savored & defended constitutional right to bear arms.

So please keep your two cents on Pashtuns and their right to bear arms to yourself. This is not about Darra this is about the tons of illegal arms being supplied from across the border from Afghanistan by 'interested' parties who would like to see Pakistan Army continually engaged on the western borders. In its more than a century old history, neither Darra nor the Pastuns have ever been a threat to Pakistan or its interests. History Dude, you gotta read History!!!

i think Pashtuns "violated" his close to kin....hence the blatant anti-Pashtun diatribes.

;)

correct! however this area is akin to the 'wild west' in the US during the 1800s. the laws were there, but took some time to implement and respect. remember S-2, the US is 200 years old, our country just 60!!!
