This carrier alone can defeat many powerful countries military. It's like a whole country's entire military power floating in the high seas . It's a monster . Respect .

That's what these carriers are for, to project show of force across the Globe and to influence small countries. Like Putin said, show of force gives you leverage to influence countries. I don't think these carries scares Russia or China, because both these countries got enough tools in their arsenal to toast any of the world carrier. Carriers can also be a huge liability.

No country is a match for U.S navy to be honest. The gap between the U.S navy and the next 5 top naval powers combined is still huge.

This is not a competition to building swiss watches. Aircraft carriers are the expensive weapon of war and China surely can afford the world's most pimped out carriers, but why build something so fancy and expensive when it can be sunk by missiles costing fraction of the target.

Oldest tactic in the book, Saturate Aircraft carrier defences. It take just one missile to slip through the defences and render multi-billion dollar war machine useless.

It's a lot easier to said then done to "Swamp" a carrier actually.

US Carrier does not travel in lone ship, a Carrier have about 14 warship (1 or 2 CG + 3 DDG in a Carrier Strike Group + 1 Destroyer Squadron on a 5 + 3 formation ) defend it's immediately airspace. and it also have 65 fighter aircraft on board any Carrier, with 2 E-2D on board, they can engage a combine over 1000 Target at the same time (96 per Destroyer, 122 per Cruiser) at a range of 250nm plus (The range for E-2D radar and ship board AN/SPY-1B radar is classified, E-2C can detect 2000 target at a range of 550km (290nm) with AN/APS-145 Radar)

What if it reaches your water or land(fighters) ? Will you fire missiles in your territory ? Looking at it's size this CBG will atleast have another 6-7 ships guarding it's air & water space. There is a very minor chance that any missile will go through their defence...

Sure, a single missile like that costs much less than a carrier. But you forgot to factor in the cost of the entire recon infrastructure you need to build in order effectively use this missile (i.e. OTH radars and satelites, to locate and target a US carrier group over very great distances). You also ingnore that USN has by far the best ABM defences of existing navies. It also has 10 large nuclear (say 500-750 jets total) and 10 small conventional flat tops (say 200 jets total), versus China's 1 medium carrier (24 J15) Su-33or Russia's 1 medium carrier (24 Mig29K).
