Thanks a lot. I think that Pakistan should concentrate on moving forward and for that purpose privatization is good like doing it for PIA, Pak Railways and NHA, oil and gas companies and other industries(other than steel mills) which would be 51% privatization and the money which we will gain can be used in getting the 100% authority of Gwadar port as well as building Dams, Canals and research on Nuclear reactors like Thorium based ones at KRL.
For the power plants which we have we should at least privatize all of them at once by selling 100% shares of it to the local people who are able to buy it and can run it effectively.
You have a valid point, but privatization would be again, a death call for the poor. The mismanagement and corruption (in hearts and minds of us so called Muslims) must be curtailed to get the government machinery functioning efficiently. This means, no need for any privatization efforts. We all saw what happened when KESC was bought by Siemens and now by Government supported Mideastern conglomerate.
My OP was really about the commentator talking about a "scenario" which could develop. Things may not plan out to be the same for everyone but you and I know that "they planned, and Allah planned too and Allah is the best of planners".
