World’s Biggest Genocide: 40 Million Girls Killed In One Country

.
This is a big problem in countries with too many lowly educated people. China, South Korea, Armenia and Albania all have this problem, due to high poverty in the recent past but not enough poverty to cut off ultrasound access, and low social development, India is no different.

The sad thing is, it usually isn't the couples themselves that do it, but their parents that pressure them, and since tradition is strong and people are ignorant, they accept their parents decisions without thinking.

This one rare occasion that I agree with you, wholeheartedly.
This kind of behavior has nothing to do with religion, but the customs and traditions of the people. Deplorable.

Looks like this heinous crime is wide spread and even Pakistan is not able to escape it..

Prostitutes in the land of pure - Prostitution in the land of the pure – The Express Tribune Blog

A child prostitute of 14 years can be easily bought with the meagre sum of three to five thousand rupees. Male child prostitutes – ranging from ages 15-25 – are thought to be cheaper than their female counterparts. Unlike females, male prostitutes are reluctant to reveal specific problems and details about their work because of social taboos.

According to surveys, 95% of the teenage prostitutes in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore were sexually abused by their close relatives, friends and teachers before entering the business of prostitution. Contrary to common judgement of prostitutes normally being uneducated and poor, research has shown that 74% of them were university graduates.

And are we talking about Honor Killings as well here??

this is just a small list the issue is much bigger and it is very prevalent all over Asia, Middle east, Africa etc..

I don't know why Pakistanis like Ahmed Quereshi turns blind eye towards their own problems before they open their mouth for others.. Actually, when its a case of India its quite understandable, its their hate and when they come up with such articles their intention is not to bring any issue to lime light. Rather all they will do is just add cheapness in their articles like he did in this article which one of his Pakistani fan posted here..

I don't mind if somebody posts original articles but not the cheap Ahmed Quereshi/Sajjad shaukat's versions of those.. They are just a bunch of cheapsters..

if that's the case, then even European countries like Serbia are at risk. Calculating it this way in no way represents how well women do in a given country. It would be a joke to say that women in countries like Serbia, South Korea and China (shown in the map as colored in) are doing worse than women in Congo, Saudi Arabia and Botswana.

But the thread isn't about how well women do in a given country.
