World Proud for INDIA

What is the point of getting the rid of the names. That would be so dis-respectful of others. We have good relations with Iran, and now better with Britain. This is ridiculous. Can you only preach hate??

Who gave Pakistan it's name? Allama Iqbal?

You know who wrote the song:-

Yes. Allama Iqbal wrote that song. So does that mean in want of revenge you will change the name of Pakistan because he coined the term Pakistan??

Would you?

Allama Iqbal was not the person who coined the name Pakistan. Chaudhry Rahmat Ali coined the name Pakistan by referring to the states in Muslim Majority BRITISH INDIA empire.

Allama Iqbal was the man who visioned a separate nation for Muslims from the Muslim majority areas in the BRITISH INDIA empire.

He wrote the song you mentioned in his youth, later on he realized Muslims needed a nation of their own and Chaudhry Rahmat Ali coined the word Pakistan for the new Mulsim nation. It had nothing to do with Hindustan.

First of all show respect. You would not like an Indian saying Jinnah as Jannah. Secondly, if Gandhi did not let the the freedom movement go through, then mind you, Pakistan wouldn't have born as well.

Incorrect! Pakistan would have been born regardless! :pakistan:

There should be a separate section for- "Imaginative Patriotic Pakistanis' Unending Rhetorics".

Then atleast, few people will get some space for a sane discussion to flourish.

You are right. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Fatima Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, Chaudhry Rahmat Ali and other members of Muslim league are given credit for the independence of Pakistan.

Gandhi wanted us to be part of Hindu-majority Bharat, he's given no credit for anything regarding Pakistan's independence.

He's Bharat's national figure and bhartis can have him :enjoy:

All Pakistani and all indian please respect each others thought, and please hesitate to say anything about each other’s leader other wise we will argue again. No point, of saying **** about both leaders. Gandhi was great so does Jinnah. Peace Geo or Jeenay do

Gandhi was a friend of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah when both were studying in London, but I just wanted to point out to Indian members that Gandhi is not the national figure of Pakistan, he's India's national figure. Pakistan's national figure is Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

:pakistan:

I think you are mistaken. We Pakistanis dont celebrate Gandhi's birthday.

If Pakistan is a part of this world, AND, wants to celebrate non-violence, then 2nd October is "International Peace Day". IT IS NOT A HOLIDAY. Also it is approved by U.N. and Pakistan being a member of U.N. has to oblige to agree, accept and celebrate Gandhiji's Birth-day.:smokin:

Phir wahi, keep debating let me know if someone wins. :)

THREAD NEEDS TO BE CLOSED BEFORE ANY MORE BANDWIDTH IS WASTED.

PS: Gandhi was an idealist. He was against the creation of Pakistan, yes, but he condemned violence and oppression of Muslims. After the creation of Pakistan, he fought for Pakistan's rights (if you didn't know this, read a book) and was assassinated by Hindu hard-liners partly due to this very reason. Give credit where credit is due, there is nothing shameful about being a Pakistani who respects Gandhi, even if I disagree with his opinions.

Secondly, no, the world is not proud of India, and it shouldn't matter one bit. All that matters is whether Indians are proud of India. If they are, good for them, if they aren't, then do something to change it. It should not matter whether the world is proud of you or not. Many call Pakistan a "terrorist" country, but do I give a damn? Hell no.

I am a Proud Pakistani. That does not mean I hate Indians, it just means that I love Pakistan.

That said, this thread should be closed soon.

Edit Damn. I can't believe I wasted my 500th post on this thread.
