Hello Friends,
I would like to open a thread on PROPHECY in different religion and civilisation. If there is already a thread going on then I request mods to merge it.
I found an old but interesting article about it, hope you will like it.
Not only does The Bible predict that The Apocalypse will occur in The New Millennium, but other world religions and seers do as well. They predict that a "Christ" figure will appear and trigger a Cosmic Battle between Good and Evil.
BUDDHISM
Circa 500 BC, Buddha said that The Wheel of Human Consciousness is turned every 2500 years and that Maitreya, The 5th Buddha, would come as a World Teacher. The next turn of the wheel is now, 2000 AD, and will create major change. A Theme of a Cosmic Battle is also foretold in some schools of Esoteric Buddhism.
Circa 600 BC, Zoroaster, a Persian Mystic, said that the world is divided into four periods of 3000 years, and at the end of the 12,000 years will come a Sayoshant, or Savior. The count ends in the year 2000, with the final battle between the forces of Good and Evil.
ISLAM
According to the Koran, A Time of Great Judgment will come upon the world for its sins. This will involve the coming of an Islamic Savior, Iman Mahdi who will wage a Holy War against a Western, Antichrist figure. Although no date is given, the signs point to what is happening in the world: the conflict in Israel and the moral breakdown of society.
Nostradamus predicted The Apocalypse would start in the new Millennium.
"The year the great number is
accomplished, appearing at
the time of the games of
slaughter, not far from the
age of the great millennium,
when the dead come out of
their graves."

Nostradamus seems to set a time reference: after the year 2000 completed = 2001 AD. In another quatrain, He said a new spiritual teacher or "Messiah" would appear:
"A man will be charged with
destroying the temples and the
religions altered by fantasy.
He will harm the rocks more
than the living; ears filled with
ornate speeches."

This world spiritual teacher will destroy all organized religion as he places an Extra-Terrestrial spin upon God and the Bible. He will also ignite much rage as he claims both YHWH God and Allah is a "Spaceman," an Alien from another galaxy!
OLD TESTAMENT
The Book of Hosea states that God will restore Israel after "Two Days."
"Come let us return to the
Lord. For He has torn. but
will heal us; He has stricken
but will bind us:
After two days He will
revive us, and on the
third day He will raise
us up, that we may live in
His sight."
For almost "Two Days," or 2000 Biblical years, the Jews were scattered around the world without their homeland. Then on May 10, 1948, Israel was restored as a physical nation. In the 1967 War, Israel regained Jerusalem, the major source of world conflict today.
We are about to see this third and new day, the time of Spiritual Restoration.
This is why all past claims of the "End of The World" were mistaken. First Israel must be restored as a nation and retake Jerusalem. (Zech:12)
Today, Israel awaits the Coming of their Messiah, "Emanuel" whom they believe will bring Peace to Israel and the world.
Hinduism teaches that the world is now at the end of the Cycle of Kali, the time of darkness, and that an age of Enlightenment is soon to come for mankind. Krishna is returning to bring in this New Age of peace and brotherhood for all.
What of those who reject his message?
Saint Malachy, a 12th Century Monk, predicted that there would be 112 Popes until Doomsday. Pope John Paul 2 is named as Pope 110 and is in failing health.
According to occultist and Satanist Aleister Crowley, The Beast (Antichrist) will come at the time of the Great Equinox, which may be Halloween of 2012 AD. In Crowley's thinking, Satan and 666 are good: The Bible is The Evil Book and thus the "Holy War" will be against The Church.
The Ancient Mayan Calendar ends on December 22, 2012 AD and is said to bring the return of the god, Quezecoatal or Thoth.
This seems to coincide with the Hopi Indian Prophecy of A Great World Cataclysm followed by The Coming of A World Teacher, The Great "White Brother" and the time of "Purification."
Bible Prophecy, The Book of Revelation and Daniel speak of The Coming of Antichrist, The Beast, who will lead the world into a Chorus of Satan worship, followed by a Second Holocaust against Christians which lasts 1260 days. (Rev:13:7).
Although they are coming from diametrically opposing views, All world Religions speak of A New Messiah, or Christ Figure. This shows it is highly probable that this World Teacher exists and will make his appearance.
WE SEE A COSMIC BATTLE IN THE WORKS AS ALL RELIGIONS WILL ACCEPT THIS WORLD SAVIOR vs THOSE WHO FOLLOW THE BIBLE, THAT CLAIMS THIS WORLD TEACHER OR MESSIAH IS EVIL, THE ANTICHRIST, THE BEAST!
IS HE A SAVIOR OR PSYCHOPATH?
ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE, THE ANTICHRIST WILL SPEAK OF "BROTHERHOOD AND PEACE" BUT IN HIS HEART, HE IS THE BEAST."
Unless this New Messiah returns in a Spaceship the size of NYC or larger,
WE ARE HEADING FOR A SECOND HOLOCAUST, A BLOODBATH AS NEVER WAS BEFORE NOR SHALL EVER BE AGAIN.

The Bible Code seems to indicate that The Year 2006 AD to 2012 AD will be the Start of this Time of Great Tribulation which lasts seven years.
In the Gospel, Jesus taught His worthy followers will Escape what is to come in the First of Two Raptures. These are the few Christians who actually follow what Jesus taught in the Gospel, not the twisted Dogma of Church and men.
