Must have been a great exercise to size up the radar signature, agility and overall capabilityof the rafale. The radar cross section and heat signatures must have been updated in the threat library of JF-17 in an ultra High Definition mode. This exercise would go a long way in laying down tactics to tackle rafale in the future.

An exercise is good for experience and familiarization but it doesn't guarantee a win. Indian air force does regular exercises with airforce that operates block 52 F-16s.
