World Bank places Pakistan 48 positions ahead of India for Ease of Doing Business

It's the corrupt government in India, anyway Pakistan should focus on the 48 countries higher up in the list.

Pakistan comes in at 85 and India at 133.

Interestingly, in terms of the ability to enforce contracts, India registers at 182 of 183 total countries.

Well if we were to draw comparisons...then just on the face value i.e in terms of doing business you score...
but India and China have always believed in protectionism and a not-so-free market system as it is always biased and pro-industrially developed west...
even though much dometsic improvement has been made and much of the restrictions have been removed...
I am very sure the Indian policy makers laugh their a$$es off reading these reports...
picture this...
you have a a cola company....peddling the same 2-3 flavors all through Pakistan for the last 20 years...the people running it are happy at just being there...in comes massive FDI from Coca Cola Corp.,Atlanta...and you have these amazing advertisements and magnanimous endorsements from your fav rock stars and cricketers...saying how cool it is to drink coke...
your domestic cola company would have to sell it's assets...and the cola busniess would be monopolized by Coca cola corp. which would probably not have much regard for developing backward areas...or providing employment to Pakistanis...
laws under FEMA regulate all of this...and so are disliked by the western economic powerhouses...we can't treat every company at par...

not the govt...it is the inept bureaucracy that gives every company a headache...there is so much of paper work...and people live for kickbacks.
right from customs to state logistics management systems...
but we do need some of the rules to be stringent...don't you agree?

ah so my post is ranked low to keep oneself happy does it matter you and i witnessed Pakistan is submerged in huge debt whatever revenue comes is paid as debt return and to further complicate things we keep on borrowing more..keep amusing yourself i care less use and abuse of power on forum as elite member your life must be sucking..
