Try to attend parade and post pics hope the reveal some new weapons in this year paradeI will take pictures on the weekend... I've access @ that point...
Is this a new location ? I see excavators working in the link provided.
The old one got ruined by the metro bus. Sheer stupidity.
But dude, it virtually shut off Islamabad, not to mention people thronging Islo streets from all walks of life trampling on all the green belts and shop fronts, apart from that, Haseeb himself told me, how difficult it was for his tight air display, with Presidency and Parliament building at the front, Margalla Hills to one side, tall towers at the back not to mention all the other structure like high rise telecom equipments.Yup.

Parades like this are generally held on Presidential avenues, instantly recognizable places and the sort. But somebody in our government had a genius idea to ruin the master plan of Isl and make hideous monstrosities on it.
The iconic images of tanks and columns rolling down the big wide road in the backdrop of President House...that was something.

I have asked people in ISPR, to mount a camera on a chopper and have it hoovering near over the venue, to capture better footage of the flypast, but i'm told it's not possible.
Not sure yet but i would expect it to come in over the Highway rather than having to fly over built up areas of Rawalpindi.Islamabad has been ruined.
Talking about the parade itself though, any idea that what direction will the flypast be in? From North to South or South to North?
