You have ignored the OP's explicit request. Like I wrote, it is not binding but people post similar requests in other threads and most people are civilized enough to respect it unless something is posted in the thread which specifically targets them.

So why the explicit request that Indians and ONLY Indians stay away? Why the discrimination? So it means the OP has passed a sweeping generalization that Indians are Islamaphobic. Looks more like Indophobia than Islamaphobia to tell you the truth.

Wrong. Angeldust WAS breaking the rules by explicitly exhorting people to convert to his religion, and yet I let him pass. There is no such exhortation here, since the OP is explicitly saying that he is only addressing Muslims.

His thread about Islamaphobia was not trashing Islam. It was opened in order to understand a social issue. It was a noble cause, but even the word "Islam" uttered by an Indian sadly seems Islamaphobic to you.

Favorite past time of folks like you to selectively quote some ayats and in the process, take them completely out of context. I listened to Zakir Naik's debate with William Campbell, and on one occasion, Zakir Naik says the same in response to Campbell's question, that selection of one ayat or a part of it takes away the whole background of the ayat, the reason it was revealed etc etc.

BTW, the translation you posted isn't even one-forth part of the ayat that it was taken from!!! So completely out of context.

It is in reference to the Jews who changed their thoughts and intentions when Prophet Muhammad PBUH came.

Here is the full translation of the full ayat:

And when there came to them (the Jews), a Book (this Quran) from Allah confirming what is with them [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], although aforetime they had invoked Allah (for coming of Muhammad Peace be upon him ) in order to gain victory over those who disbelieved, then when there came to them that which they had recognised, they disbelieved in it. So let the Curse of Allah be on the disbelievers.

Similarly the rest of your post takes it all out of context and meaning. I ain't going to teach every ayat to you, so better refrain from this.

But here is another one:

4:89-”"Seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and in any case take no friends or helpers from their ranks.”

Here is the ayat immediately after the ayat you posted:

4:90 Except for those who take refuge with a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty or those who come to you, their hearts strained at [the prospect of] fighting you or fighting their own people. And if Allah had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they remove themselves from you and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not made for you a cause [for fighting] against them.

He should have phrased it better but I guess he was reacting to the Islamophobia thread and similar threads in the past where the fiercest attacks come from Indians. After all, Indian Muslims should be able to contribute. Even others as long as they respect the spirit of the thread.

Like I wrote, there have been similar threads about other religions, including Hinduism, and people mostly behaved.

The fiercest attacks? First tell me according to you what is the difference between an attack and a criticism? If you can distinguish that right, especially when it is regarding Islam then we can take it further. And people are not disrespecting the spirit of the thread, but only debating the segregatory introductory post/request.

It was an open ended question about what people thought about Islamaphobia and why it is present in society. For the most part, people were giving honest opinions. And yes I am indeed learning about the personalities here And am surprised you just disproved my post in that thread. Sadly Looks like what Fateh71 posted in that thread is being proved right.

I dont know what to say ... One of the most secular Indian member i have noticed so far is being attacked for being an Islamaphobe. He opened a thread few days back to understand Islamaphobia ... in a way to condemn it. But he is now being charged for what he stood against.

Angeldust was responding to Abii's expressed desire to know more about the religion of his forefathers and to revert if he could, because he increasingly found himself at a stage of life where he was ready.

What rule did Angeldust break mulla ji? Or is your peeve more at a Shia wanting to revert from Islam to Zoroastrianism, and the snowball its going to have in the days, weeks, months, and years to come?
