The way i would put it is , India makes a lot of noise to mask what needs to be kept guarded. (Artillery explosion to mask/suppress sniper fire if u get my drift). Acting Quietly make u a target for suspicion ...acting BIg and all over the place , avoids scrutiny.China acts quietly though. They don't do things overly overtly and loudly.
Sri Lanka is one of a handful of countries where China & india will be lobbying and fighting for influence. Next day, Sri Lankans will surely make a statement thanking China for its support. Chinese are doing a lot of infrastructure projects in the island nation and in exchange Sri Lankans opened up an SEZ for Chinese investment if i'm not mistaken
India will modernize Sri Lankas KKS port & Palali Airport.
India will provide Sri Lanka with a US$800 Million finance package to both projects.
KKS port US$400 Million
Palali Airport - US$400 Million
Also another US$300 Million finance package from India to Sri Lanka currently discussed it will finance a highway project.
When next time our EAM visits India, he will visit with another two projects.
