What a stupid statement to make. First, who allows tactical surprise where the enemy's main logistics base is buzzing with activity and you sleep through it other than complacent fools. Then to top it off, you expect that even after all those lessons learnt there exists potential for another Kargil and it depends on you allowing it??

The Army chief is being very modest

Perhaps you did not get the full meaning of his statement

what he meant was that Our response will be Much different ; Next time

Kargil happened at a BAD time June 1999 ; just after the nuclear tests

We had to respond in a very restrained manner and hence lost more lives

Pakistan was trying to project Kashmir as a Nuclear flashpoint and was seeking US intervention
and a ceasefire

But we did not allow such a thing to happen

Next time our response will be to open multiple fronts all along the border

Good luck with that, seeing how much you want your women to burn in nuclear radiation. Nice to know we have genocidal fools across the border aplenty.

LOL as though the first one happened with their consent.

DRASS (J&K): Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag on Saturday said the armed forces will not let another Kargil-like conflict to take place.

After paying tributes to the Kargil war martyrs at a memorial here, he said the "Army won't allow another Kargil".

Though the celebrations to mark the 16th anniversary of India's victory in the Kargil War, also called Vijay Diwas, began on July 20, the main functions will be held today and tomorrow.

Army will hold a memorial service at the Kargil War Memorial where prayers by religious leaders will be held. They will be followed by lighting of lamps.

The wreath laying ceremony for the martyrs will be held tomorrow which will be followed by an interaction with Veer Naris. The Kargil war, which began in May 1999, lasted for more than two months before Pakistani soldiers, a bulk of them drawn from its Northern Light Infantry, and irregulars withdrew from the mountain tops they had occupied overlooking the Srinagar-Leh highway.

In the conflict, the Indian Army lost 490 officers, soldiers and jawans.

Basically what the Army chief is saying is, if you do Kargil, we may do Lahore...:

Your women don't burn in nuclear radiation eh?
Are they protected by some super natural force???
Man, your kind is so pathetic :)
All of our women will you little lowlife, its what your murderous kind that is raised by their parents like this does not understand.. apocalyptic will occur in the subcontinent. And your little bum is not coming back here to worry about our kind.

It is you guys with your obsession with Kashmir which is pushing two nuclear armed forces to brink of war. There was no need for Pakistan to attempt Kargil when the border lines were already drawn and demarcated. But you guys did attempt Kargil for which you lost face around the world because we showed restraint but you didn't. Next time around even if we don't show restraint entire world will still be with us.
