'Vessels': The Indian surrogate mothers at an Indian 'baby factory'

Our 'rent a womb' child from an Indian baby farm: British couple paying £20,000 for a desperately poor single mother to have their child

Housewife Octavia Orchard describes the agreement as 'a business transaction'
The Indian woman will live in a house with other surrogates, has children of her own, but no husband
'Her function is to sustain the foetus we have created,' says Mrs Orchard
Of the £20,000, the Indian woman will earn between £3,000 - £6,000
Around 2,000 births to surrogates took place last year

ethically wrong..
But i do feel sorry for both parties..
The surrogate mothers who have to take such drastic action to make a living..
The people who buy these wombs and kids...because they cant have kuds on their own...

A totally legal business.Nothing wrong in it.

Its similar to selling one's child for money..
But then poverty in india is a genuine problem.

Obviously since it's taking place in India, but then again you are the same character who said something to the effect that 300,000 farmers committing suicide in India is only small percentage of the community. :cheesy:

Surrogacy is completely legal in India since 2002.

BTW 300,000 suicides in 16 year means only 7.5 suicides per 100,000 farmer per year much lower than the suicide rate in US which is around 12 per 100.000.
