Woman allegedly sexually assaulted by man of Indian Sub-Continental appearance

Police have released CCTV of a man they want to speak to after a 22-year-old woman was allegedly sexually assaulted on a night out in Sydney.

The woman left a pub on Oxford Street in Surry Hills at 1.30am on Saturday after being separated from her friends.

While waiting outside, she was approached by a man, who she had a short conversation with.

The man is of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, and is 170cm tall, with a thin build. (Supplied)

The pair walked off together, and she alleges he then sexually assaulted her in Turner Lane, Woolloomooloo.

She later went to Sutherland Hospital where she reported what happened.

He was wearing a white t-shirt, dark-coloured pants, and glasses.

Kings Cross Police acting superintendent Paul Callaghan said anyone who recognises the man is urged to contact detectives.

"We treat all matters of sexual violence seriously and those that commit sexual violence need to be brought to account for their actions," he said.

"There is no excuse for sexual violence, and it's time for the whole community to stand up and say it won't be tolerated at any time.

"That's why we are continuing to call for anyone with information or any witnesses to come forward and tell us what they know."

Anyone who recognises him should contact Kings Cross Police Station.

The man must hand himself over to the police and hopefully the truth will come out, if he had assaulted her, throw him in the pan, if she had lied she needs to be thrown in.

You kidding me? The largest grooming gangs in the UK are the church followed by Politicians, Schools, Care homes etc. The Indians are the worst followed by the whites and the Blacks. 30-100 British of Muslim Asian descent is minuscule compared to volume of perverts in society generally.

Do you even know what exactly is a grooming gang..
“Grooming gang” is not a legal category. Group-based child sexual exploitation (CSE) falls under a range of offences, from rape to conspiracy to incite prostitution. In only some cases, often when non-whites are involved, is ethnicity recorded. All this makes it difficult to ascertain the facts and behoves us to be cautious.
