I felt so special when I went to Turkey, been twice already. Let me narrate an experience (theres been something special literally in every interaction i've had). Me and my sister did a food tour in Istanbul on Asian side, so we did breakfast on western side and then did a ferry ride to spend rest of the tour on Asian side. So basically, we were doing our tasting tests in different restaurants/eating places and our very handsome tour guide was explaining and chatting, leading our group. It was nearly half way through, that we went to this mussel place to taste fried and wet mussells, and I couldn't help but feel that the guide dint show any special delight when we mentioned that we were frpm Pakistan at the beginning of the tour, why was that? I was SO surprised and thought he is problemnot Turk or something lol. But it was at the mussell place that we found the guide looking at us and saying something to the mussell guys and I went like, is everything okay? He said that I've been telling all the restaurants that you two are from Pakistan and everyone was saying that they look Turkish, what they doing the tour for lol. They went on to show how they were so happy to meet Pakistanis coming to their shop. The Americans in our group were looking at us like why are getting this special mention lol. It was funny the look they had on their faces, because they call us you know what.

Istanbul is too cosmopolitan and complex. Somebody can easily get lost over there. To see real Turkey one needs to visit the inner Anatolian regions. And, I can assure you the affection toward Pak folks is much higher...

My uncle was visiting Turkey a few years back and he got on the bus. Not really knowing the route he asked the bus driver the route and the driver realized that he is a tourist. The driver told him the route and asked him where did he belong from. My uncle said he is from Pakistan and went and took a seat in the bus.

The driver then announced on the bus intercom "ladies and gentleman we have a dear brother from Pakistan on board this bus"

Then all of the other passengers clapped there hands and some came and said salam to my uncle.

Istanbul is too cosmopolitan and complex. Somebody can easily get lost over there. To see real Turkey one needs to visit the inner Anatolian regions. And, I can assure you the affection toward Pak folks is much higher...

I've been to Goreme, Belek, Selcuk/Seljuk and Istanbul and I felt like a celebrity everywhere I had heard from family friends, their experiences of Turkey's trip and I thought I hope its true what you say, and they were not exaggerating I can't wait to go back for the third time.

As you can see,its not about religion(Ummah bs) people.
There is a bond that cannot be explained.its just there.

You can't discredit the islam factor, if there were no muslims in the Indian subcontinent we would have got zero gold from any Desi people during WW1, as a result we would have no bond with them. There is a reason we have zero bond with Sikhs and Hindus in that region and have bonds with muslims. Lets be serious now. Samething applies in Far east asia, the Indonesians and Malaysians love us. What about Philippines? Does the average person living in the Philippines even know about our country or care about us? No. Again same scenario.

Why are we friends with Bosnians and not Serbs? Do we have a special bond with Bosnians too?

With how many Muslim countries do we have such a bond?
The answer is none.

The problem is that they bond with us but certain sections of our society have not been exposed to other muslim countries or only saw them on TV so they don't know how much they like us. We have to get over the Arab nationalist era, it is coming to an end, the Arab street loves Turkey. For our own good the people in Turkey should return the favor including religious Turks.

The meaning of "Arap" needs to change. This will become more and more necessary as we cooperate with them in Syria and Iraq.

At post 21 of this thread(page 2),i acknowledged that it started with religion but turned into something else.
Do you believe that in this day many Pakistanis see us as Muslims?
The Pakistani says:''It doesnt matter what kind of government Turkiye has,we still love Turkiye'',which would meant that even if we have a communist/atheist/socialist etc government,they would still love us,why would they say that?
@Zarvan is a good example,he is a devote Muslim but doesnt care what Turks believe or not,he still loves us,why would he say that?
If you went through the thread,many Pakistanis say the same,its beyond religion.
So my statement stays,it started with religion but it evolved into something else.
The Arab people dont have real representation in places where it matters(most international forums) because of their lack of unity and misrepresentation(mostly only nationalist fanboys),those that have a voice keep to themselves on Arabic forums(im a member on one in English) because on most international forums,people are anti Arab(especially against Gulf Arabs) and discriminate against them(witnessed it many times).
I advised the owner of an Arabic forum to talk to his government to establish a PR team to work on changing the view of the international community on Gulf Arabs but never heard anything.
So what im saying is that you need to do something to be someone(my signature says enough).

Zarvan Bro... It is indeed not about the idealism but the relation and bond with the nation so your difference with Mustafa Kamal Attaturk is your own disagreement but as you said, that the Turkish people are our brothers so we will always have a special place for them in our hearts.

Zarvan is right, we have no brotherly bond with the minority athiest lobby of attaturk that hijacked our brotherly nation for almost a century, pak turkey relations have reached this pinacle due to erdogan and his islamic govt which is more in line with the ideology of pakistan, people should know now atleast that attaturk was an agent of the west, they created a hero among turks who would lead them away from caliphate and islamic system, if the allies had tried occupying turkey and abolishing caliphate by force they would've faced massive resistance and after 10-20 yrs caliphate would've been restored but the work wonders dont they?? The pawns of satan are smart, hell they are smart, no way the veteran armies of europe after whooping german *** woukd retreat so easily from gallopoli, alas when that happened the muslims were already too dumb to even begin understanding their plans except indians who grasped it to some extent and started khilafat movement which delayed it a little but what can u do, anyhow majority of turks are our bretherin and trust me the affiliation is purely religious, we have no sense of brotherhood to the minority seculars of turkey aka western stoogies most of whom erdogsn has now locked up...
